</script><< Background >>The modernisation and digitalisation of education across Europe, accelerated by the health crisis, are an opportunity to strengthen the HEI of a common European educational area, to integrate an awareness of interculturality into vocational training through an expansion to other know-how and therefore an increase in the attractiveness of this training for employers. We believe that the collaboration and intercultural experiences of students and teachers, based on digital skills and innovative methods for fine internationalisation, are one of the essential components of this common European educational area. The SEEDS project made it possible to share, exchange and experiment with methods and tools to improve digital skills and intercultural experience for higher education. The work was carried out between the four partner universities. The results were used to establish good practice guidelines for relying on digital technology to internationalise university education in Europe. SEEDS has enabled students from the fields of engineering, computer science, robotics and civil engineering, regardless of their social, physical or geographical situation, to acquire intercultural and professional skills with a European dimension.<< Objectives >>The aim of SEEDS is to establish a community of good practices for distributed courses between partner universities. The SEEDS project was initiated by the partners’ previous activities that helped identify conditions that limited internationalisation in general, for whatever reason. Most of these limitations could be overcome by modernising and transforming methods and procedures for international educational collaboration by adopting an integrated digital approach. During the project, we identified a common core of appropriate digital tools, developed and tested innovative formats or common digital content for online or blended teaching and learning. By involving students, teachers and administrative staff, digital competences in all aspects of university education were developed. To complement the existing tools and methods, the project paid particular attention to the following topics: 1) pedagogical approaches for distributed shared lectures, 2) methods and tools for laboratory exercises that require remote interaction with physical devices, 3) tools and methods for distributed and remote assessment, 4) procedures and tools to ensure access to the developed resources 5) information on the developed resources and feedback<< Implementation >>The main outputs of the project are shared course materials, remote laboratory productions, video recordings of virtual tours or student project proposals. Two summer schools were organized in collaboration with industrial stakeholders. They led to the establishment of training activities allowing students to acquire intercultural skills by collaborating with foreign students. In addition, a catalog of digital education methods and tools was produced. This material was promoted during webinars and multiplier events as part of dissemination and communication activities. Information related to the project results is also disseminated via: - the project website, to present the project and disseminate the project results, - scientific conferences or events, - an educational resource management platform.<< Results >>The main results of the project are: - Documentation and examples of good practices of a technical infrastructure framework based on standard components for shared distance learning. - Teaching materials for shared courses on engineering subjects. The produced material was used in regular courses delivered to students from at least two partners. - Training materials exploiting remote laboratories, - Production of virtual tour materials allowing to obtain a 360° virtual view of demonstration locations for taught subjects. - Materials and results of student projects, based on implementation by distributed student teams. - A set of methodological resources on shared distance learning addressing in particular issues of distance assessment and didactic methods for distributed distance learning. The results were developed and tested by the entire consortium. The results were disseminated and communicated.
