<< Objectives >>This project aims to empower community leaders, CSO representatives, volunteer managers and decision-makers in six European countries. This will be achieved through comprehensive capacity building, including developing a collaborative transnational network for knowledge exchange as well as innovative active engagement strategies in order to catalyse sustainable growth, social cohesion and active citizenship. In turn this will contribute to and enhance the resilience of European communities.<< Implementation >>Activities:- conduct research to identify challenges and best practices in the partnering countries- develop and implement a training programme for community leaders, CSO representatives and volunteer managers- draft policy recommendations- develop a web application for transnational networking and personalised learning- organise transnational networking webinars- implement a promotional campaign- organise multiplier events to share results and encourage dialogue.<< Results >>The project outcomes include improved capacities of community leaders, CSO representatives and volunteer managers in six European countries to design and lead successful community and volunteer initiatives that contribute to community resilience. Also, establish long-term exchanges of knowledge and experiences among participants from different countries, as well as raised awareness on the importance of active engagement for community resilience among decision-makers and the general public.
