</script><< Objectives >>In the long run, our project “Breaking a Taboo” is aiming at reducing the number of child marriages in the Roma communities of the partner countries. For that, a re-thinking is necessary. Therefore, our project would like to contribute to detabooizate the subjects sex life and marriage by an intergenerational dialogue within Roma families, to promote sex education, family planning and preparation for motherhood and to perceive lifelong learning as basis for personal development.<< Implementation >>We will produce documentaries in which Roma women reflect child marriages critically and visualise alternatives. Besides, the partners from Germany, Spain, Greece, Hungary, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia implement six project meetings, educate 21 DocuMedis, train 42 multipliers, realise 70 film events and screen the European Documentary that was generated from the country documentaries at three famous film festivals.<< Results >>Envisaged results:-7 country documentaries and 1 European Documentary-Curriculum for the education of documentary mediators („DocuMedis“) -Manual for their practical work-Recognition of the „Education of DocuMedis“ -21 educated DocuMedis-42 trained multipliers-70 realised film events-Concept for mobility projects-Synthesis Report on the usage of documentary in other fields and for other target groups- Dissemination and exploitation of results
