<< Background >>The motivation for setting up this project arose from the need to give visibility to the different cultures represented in our society, normalising diversity and opening channels of participation to under-represented groups in order to promote their social integration. We detected the need to counteract, in an educational way and through social awareness-raising, the radicalisation of small sectors of society, which we have witnessed, encouraged by far-right parties that criminalise migrant groups, blaming them for the lack of work, criminality and the degradation of our heritage, and which end up leading to xenophobic and racist attitudes. We address the need to combat fake news through media literacy.<< Objectives >>With this project RADIO NOWHERE +: AN INCLUSION EXPERIENCE we promote, especially through integrated and innovative approaches, equal opportunities for socially disadvantaged adults and people with fewer opportunities. The specific objectives we hoped to achieve were:1. To improve the competences of educators in the field of adult education in order to work on issues of social inclusion through radio, gastronomy and cultural diversity.2. To do research on the local reality.3.To promote intercomprehension and cultural diversity.4.Promote media literacy.5.To disseminate good practices of inclusion of migrants.6.To make visible and give a voice to the different cultures present in our cities.7.To promote and develop interculturality through events/festivities of different cultures, gastronomy and radio.8.To turn our radio stations into reference platforms that invite the participation of groups that are underrepresented in society and to promote interculturality.9.Promote active citizen participation in the 2024 European Parliament Elections.10.Promote the Erasmus Plus Programme and European values.<< Implementation >>With the implementation of this project RADIO NOWHERE +: AN INCLUSION EXPERIENCE we developed the following activities:- 2 Cooperation activities (KICK-OFF MEETING and FINAL MEETING)- 3 Training/learning activities on:- Media Literacy and Inclusive Participation through Radio- Development of intercultural competence through gastronomy as a channel to promote diversity and interculturality.- Techniques and tools for group and community dynamisation to promote intercultural learning.- Local activities: Podcasts, INCLUISVE EUROPE Actions and Actions/Events promoting cultural diversity. The project recorded more than 40 podcasts with the participation of mostly underrepresented groups in society, thus promoting interculturality and social inclusion.<< Results >>Qualitative results:- In the educators there has been an increase in their competences.- The groups with fewer opportunities and sometimes discriminated against with whom the project has intervened have been able to feel empowered, heard and made visible, generating a positive impact on them and on society.- Improved networking of the organisations with the local community.- Positive impact of interculturality in the organisations and in the local communities, by listening to the podcasts, participating in intercultural actions and in the dissemination activities of the European programmes.Quantitative results:- Podcasts produced on each partner's radio in collaboration with different minority groups in each local reality: At least 6 podcasts per partner were foreseen, but this number was largely exceeded, as the radio became an attractive tool for the participants and they demanded to record more podcasts. More than twice as many podcasts were recorded as planned.- Podcast on the European Elections: 1 per partner.- INCLUISVE EUROPE actions: 3 per partner.- Actions/Events promoting cultural diversity: 3 per partner.
