<< Objectives >>The PRECISEMED project strives to enhance the quality and relevance of medical education in Europe by updating the curricula of undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs to include the latest developments in genetic testing. This will enable future healthcare professionals to meet the growing demand for genomic knowledge in the healthcare sector. Moreover, the Teacher's Guide will equip medical teachers with innovative educational resources that are easily accessible and effective.<< Implementation >>The PRECISEMED's partners will develop online, open-access curricula on genomic testing at introductory and advanced levels together with the Teacher's Guide. The quality-controlled curricula will be piloted at each partner university and made available as e-learning material on a self-developed Learning Management System (LMS) platform. Once completed, the education materials and the guide will be disseminated to the European HEIs and international networks through dedicated tools and events.<< Results >>The developed two-tier teaching programme will enable students to master technologies, select next-generation sequencing tools, interpret results, understand the clinical relevance and grasp the ethical, societal, and legal implications of genomic testing and analysis. The programme will include innovative teaching and learning methods, like problem- and research-based learning as well as foster collaboration and interdisciplinary education, thus better responding to the needs of the job market.
