</script>"<< Background >>Association ""Cerību spārni"" has been supporting individuals with disabilities for 20+ years, aiming to improve their lives by finding suitable activities. Our project sought to enhance knowledge and practical experience in promoting employment for disabled youth. It's crucial because these young people often struggle to find jobs suited to their abilities. The project aimed for partner organizations to share practices in organizing employment events for disabled youth and develop new activities. Employment is vital on a national scale, as opportunities are not always available. We aimed to gather best practice examples to guide young people more effectively into the job market and create informative materials to share gained experiences. The lack of informational materials in working with disabled youth prompted us to ensure our association's youth and all interested parties could apply these examples in life.<< Objectives >>Association ""Cerību spārni"" goal and ambition were to provide new opportunities for young people with disabilities both in Latvia and Romania. The aim was to facilitate the exchange of experience between the association ""Esperando"" and representatives of the ""Cerību spārni"" association to familiarize themselves with the employment activities for young people with disabilities in both organizations and gain new experiences and ideas for future work. Within the project, we aimed to create high-quality informational materials – two videos and a guide that would significantly enhance employment opportunities for young people with disabilities in both organizations and for all interested parties.<< Implementation >>The project involved activities focused on promoting the employment of young people with disabilities. Both organizations gained new experience, which they implemented within their respective organizations. Youth workers acquired new methods of working with young people with disabilities and how to properly guide them towards employment. Besides social experience, project participants had the opportunity to improve their foreign language skills, digital competence, and the ability to learn and acquire something new. By gaining new knowledge and exchanging existing ones, two videos and a guide were created in Latvian and Romanian languages.<< Results >>The main results of the project include practical experience gained in promoting the employment of young people with disabilities. Two informative videos have been created to showcase the experiences in Latvia and Romania, and an informational guide has been developed based on the experiences, best practices, and regulatory acts of both countries. At the conclusion of the project, a conference was held, attended by more than 200 people from across Latvia, representing or interested in the employment of young people with disabilities."
