New active trades for a urban resilient europe

Description

"<< Background >>The NATURE project, coordinated by Halage and based in Seine-Saint-Denis, France's poorest and youngest department on the outskirts of Paris, aims to support urban change in the face of major challenges such as migration and the health, social and economic crisis. It focuses on harnessing the knowledge of disadvantaged people to create the skills needed for the jobs of tomorrow. This project responds to the need to develop urban agriculture sectors in outlying areas, to recognise the skills of disadvantaged people for promising jobs, to inform those involved in adult education about European initiatives in urban agriculture, and to promote these initiatives to the general public. The project goes against the grain by restoring visibility, dignity and complexity to these people, who are often defined by their shortcomings (employment, training, housing, health, documents, etc.), thereby building positive narratives for areas whose image is often degraded. It highlights the potential of each individual and territory. By passing on experiences and thoughts, this project amplifies the social impact of the partners and strengthens the resilience of the regions.<< Objectives >>Its objectives are :- To respond to the ecological challenges of cities by integrating urban agriculture, in line with the Green Deal, and to improve the visibility of each partner's territory and the public benefiting from the actions. - Include adults in precarious situations in the ecological transition of European cities, by making the most of their knowledge and life experience to create a unique experience of exchanging practices.- Develop the skills of trainers working on the inclusion of disadvantaged adults through training activities and concrete, transferable deliverables.- To harmonise social and professional inclusion policies with local green economic policies, in partnership with public authorities and a wider network of stakeholders. - Contribute to the exchange of practices, the expansion of cooperation, the promotion of environmental innovation and the enhancement of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, through the discovery of other areas with similar and unique dynamics and a complementary partnership. In this way, we will be able to build on each other's ideas and provide inspiration for continuing to develop our social missions.<< Implementation >>We worked to :- Identify innovative practices for involving residents in urban agriculture projects- Identify the sectors and their needs in order to create new job descriptions based on the subordinate knowledge of those in the know.- Develop job-creating economic activities accessible to people marginalised from the labour market- Formalise innovative curricula that are not offered by the vocational training system around the new urban jobs in the green economy and aimed at trainers and adults in precarious situations - Enhancing the subordinate know-how of ""knowledgeable"" adults through comic strip training scenarios- Providing a catalogue of inclusive online teaching tools on a multilingual, interactive platform - Diversifying the learning environments of the project's target audiences on the basis of the results. These activities brought together :- Adult educators and trainers, including ""knowledgeable"" adults who, by taking part in the training activities, are also passing on their know-how- Workers from social enterprises (public or private) and associations- Local residents (especially the most vulnerable)- Representatives of local and regional authorities- Those involved in adult education in general<< Results >>- R1 GUIDE TO GOOD PRACTICE: 30 case studies, 21 interviews and portraits to understand how urban agriculture in the most fragile urban areas is a lever for resilience and inclusion, and enables territories- R2 NEW TRADES FOR NEW EMPLOYMENT SECTORS FOR ADULT PEOPLE: 14 New Trades Sheets to enable the development of job-creating economic activities accessible to people marginalised from the labour market by enhancing the subordinate knowledge of ""knowledgeable"" adults.- R3 CERTIFICATE TRAINING COURSES FOR NEW EMPLOYMENT SECTORS: 2 innovative training courses on new urban jobs in the green economy, which are not offered by vocational training and are aimed at trainers and ""knowledgeable"" adults.- R4 COMIC STRIP TRAINING MANUAL: 15 comic strip training scenarios to highlight the adults in the programme who don't want to be filmed or photographed and to showcase their lesser-known skills.- R5 ONLINE TRAINING TOOLBOX: a catalogue of inclusive online teaching tools within a multilingual and interactive platform- C1 C2 TRAINING: 2 training activities bringing together 60 adult educators and trainers, including ""knowledgeable"" adults, to test the results produced. - 5 EVENTS attended by 354 people- 1 EVALUATION report"
