</script>"<< Background >>We applied for this project because it addresses a critical need for startups and small businesses to improve their digital hygiene practices, which are essential for protecting against cyber threats. With the rise of online business and the increase in cyberattacks, it is crucial for startups to have a solid digital defense system in place. By offering tailored training and resources, this project will empower businesses to establish effective security measures and ensure their IT systems remain secure and well-maintained. Our goal is to contribute to enhancing the digital security standards and supporting the growth of businesses in the digital age.<< Objectives >>By implementing the Good Start project, the partnership aimed to achieve a comprehensive understanding of digital hygiene practices among startups and small businesses, and to bridge the skills gap in this critical area. The project will help establish a standardized measure of digital hygiene behavior through the development of a ""Digital Hygiene Behaviour Index"" and provide tailored training materials for both startups and VET providers. << Implementation >>Several activities were carried out as part of the project. These included a comprehensive study on the current state of digital security in each partner country, the development of a digital security assessment tool (index), and surveys with industry specialists to evaluate the relevance of the developed tool. Additionally, two handbooks were created—one for startups and another for VET institutions. The project also involved organizing three in-person partner meetings. Finally, a multiplier event was held in each country to present the project’s results.<< Results >>Main results of the project are “Digital Hygiene Behaviour Index” for startups and small businesses - aims to measure digital hygiene behavior of startups and small businesses with a standardized approach, as well ""Handbook for startups and VET providers/institutions” - customized training materials for both startups and VET providers/Institutions."
