Sustainable Tourism Mastery for VET and Entrepreneurship (STM-Tourism) is a transformative initiative designed to modernize vocational education and training (VET) in the Western Balkans by equipping learners with green, digital, and entrepreneurial skills essential for a competitive and sustainable tourism industry. The project fosters a strong collaboration between universities, VET providers, industry leaders, and policymakers, ensuring that VET curricula align with emerging labor market demands, EU sustainability goals, and digital innovation trends.The project is structured around six key Work Packages (WPs) to ensure seamless implementation and long-term impact:-Skills Gap Analysis (WP2): Conducts market research and stakeholder consultations to identify critical competency gaps in sustainable tourism, digitalization, and entrepreneurship.-Curriculum & Training Development (WP3): Designs five competency-based learning modules aligned with ESCO and EU VET frameworks, incorporating AI-powered e-learning tools and interactive digital content.-Pilot Training & Capacity Building (WP4): Implements the new curriculum, training 100+ VET teachers, students, and tourism professionals through a blended learning approach.-Industry Engagement & Policy Integration (WP5): Strengthens VET-business partnerships, establishes an Industry Advisory Council, and formulates policy recommendations to embed sustainable tourism competencies into national frameworks.-Dissemination & Sustainability (WP6): Ensures long-term project impact by developing Open Educational Resources (OERs), launching a digital learning platform, and hosting a Final Conference to showcase project outcomes.By bridging the gap between VET institutions and industry, leveraging AI-driven training tools, and promoting sustainable tourism entrepreneurship, STM-Tourism fosters a future-ready workforce equipped with the skills to drive economic growth, environmental stewardship, and digital transformation.
