Description

<< Background >>Our aim was to provide an opportunity to our students and teachers to examine how people in the EU live and what the most important aspects of their lives in different ages are. We wanted to incorporate sociology, social studies, EU citizenship with the STEAM approach to create a holistic, intercultural and interdisciplinary environment. Our needs were to provide a challenging learning experience for all participants and to facilitate communication and bridge the gap between different age groups.<< Objectives >>Our objectives were to initiate communication and nurture understanding between different nations and age groups of the EU, to provide a new and challenging learning experience, to encourage active citizenship, to broaden the knowledge about the EU and society in general, to use digital tools and interdisciplinary methods, to establish partnerships between schools, organizations and universities, to develop soft skills and to create useful content introducing the age groups for everyone.<< Implementation >>During the short term student exchanges the students studied the certain age groups and created digital and age specific content introducing the age groups to the wider public.Between the exchanges the participants studied the documents, statistics, laws andregulations guiding the lives of the age groups, conducted a sociology survey using digital tools.
