<< Objectives >>The ultimate goal of PROTECTWomen is to prevent psychological violence and coercive control and protect women at-risk.This will be achieved by improving the knowledge and skills of social service professionals, increasing availability of effective services, raising public awareness, promoting gender equality and women's human rights. The project also aims to achieve longer-term outcomes, such as the development of evidence-based policies and practices that respond to the needs of women at-risk.<< Implementation >>The project will focus on the development and implementation of a continuous professional development (CPD) program, the co-designing of an awareness-raising campaign, and dissemination activities. Overall, these activities are designed to improve the knowledge and skills of social services professionals, increase public awareness, and promote the development of evidence-based policies and practices that better protect and support women at-risk of psychological violence and coercive control.<< Results >>The project outcomes and results encompass heightened awareness and comprehension of coercive control, augmented access to information for social services professionals, heightened public consciousness, fortified skills of professionals, enhanced capacity for civil society organizations, heightened accountability and responsiveness of institutions, amplified empowerment and support for women at-risk, and a diminished prevalence and impact of psychological violence and coercive control.
