PROTECT OUR FUTURE, PLEASE!

Description

"<< Background >>Our school has not been involved in any ERASMUS SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP project before. Taking part in the Erasmus programme is something what we have always wanted to do. We were inspired by being awarded “Quality Label"" in one of eTwinning projects ""Technology Ambassadors"" and wanted to gain the international experience that Erasmus programmes offer. The second reason was the importance of Cultural Heritage. Getting to know more about the literature, art and monuments, stories, dances, food, festivals, the environment, and the nature of other countries. The question: Who owns the Mona Lisa, the Colosseum or Malbork Castle? Countries or all of us? UNESCO declares that the properties in the World Heritage List belong not only to the country within its borders, but also to all nations. Due to the climate and environmental changes, our cultural values are not adequately protected and are decreasing. Apart from it, we were looking at the educational goals of the European Union which is to ""raise individuals with common cultural heritage awareness"". We wanted to strengthen the European identity among our students, and we believe that their English language level will be improved.<< Objectives >>By implementing this project, the aim was to enable all our participants to recognize the cultural heritage diversity of the European Union, to develop their cultural awareness, tolerance, raise environmental awareness, establish international collaborations that students, teachers and schools will contribute to their digital development skills and reinforce their European identity. Our participants will be able to notice the diversity of European cultural heritage and develop cultural awareness. Cultural respect, tolerance and dialogue will increase by 50% in our participants and society. Our sense of European consciousness will be strengthened (related to European identity, citizenship and values). The environment and nature will be better protected. Our basic and digital skills will improve. Cultural heritage social clubs will be established. Participants' foreign language skills will improve by 30%. What is more, schools will gain an international identity, and the brand values of the school will increase. Conscious, new generation individuals who protect the cultural heritage will be raised. It will contribute to the sustainability and necessity of the EU. Cooperation with different institutions will be formed. << Implementation >>Aiming to promote the recognition and protection of the diversity of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, the project will include the following main activities:1. Mobility activities in Poland, Portugal, Turkey and Italy.2. Online events to be held on the eTwinning platform.3. Dissemination activities (before, during and after the project)4.Online surveys5. To become a member of the relevant web pages<< Results >>EXPECTED RESULTS:1)To recognize the cultural heritage diversity of the European Union and improving our cultural awareness.2) To improve our awareness and practices of environmental-nature protection.3)To develop our foreign language.4) To follow digital developments, to use, to contribute, to establish international cooperation.5)To create a digital culture archive.6) To have students, teachers and schools with a strong European identity.7) To establish cultural heritage clubs in schools."
