"<< Background >>The general objective of the project was to reduce the phenomenon of bullying in high schools against LGBTQIA+ individuals. The project focused on young people with fewer opportunities by providing support to overcome obstacles related to gender and sexual orientation discrimination. Additionally, it aligned with the youth sector priority ""Enhancing the quality, innovation, and recognition of youth work."" The project aimed to develop and share innovative educational methods that youth workers can use to prevent LGBTQIA+ discrimination among young people. Lastly, the project also aimed to strengthen organizations' ability to work across sectors, promoting collaboration between associations and educational institutions.<< Objectives >>The specific objectives of this project were: - Improving the quality of youth workers' efforts on this topic with young people aged 14 to 19.- Promoting collaboration between third sector organizations and educational institutions.- Addressing with students a topic that is otherwise not covered in school curricula.<< Implementation >>The activities implemented were:- Organization of an online kick-off meeting;- Creation of a digital manual for youth workers to address bullying against LGBTQIA+ individuals in high schools;- Three training days in a high school in each partner country (12 events in total);- Project website;- Closing meeting with a conference for stakeholders.<< Results >>The results were:- Creation of a digital manual for youth workers to address bullying against LGBTQIA+ individuals in high schools;- Engaging with 160 students from 4 different European countries on the topic;- Collaboration between organizations and educational institutions;- Creation of a website to share and disseminate the materials developed during the project;- Strengthening the capacity of partner organizations to work at a transnational and intersectoral level."
