The project EU-NET: “Enhancing a Universal guide and NETwork for the youth workers of the future” aims at creating an international network for promoting the excellence in youth work, focused on sharing methods, tools and skills of the employees and youth workers in the sphere of Erasmus+ and beyond.The project Partnership was composed by 5 European organizations, representing 4 different Countries (Spain, Italy, Germany and Greece) and all active in the field of youth work, non-formal education, mobility and volunteering programs. One of the motivations behind EU-NET was the fact that youth work hasn’t been officially recognized yet in Spain, Italy or Greece. However, in Germany it is already mandatory to study youth work for 4 years before starting to work as a youth worker. That implies that situation in different countries are not the same and thus it was possible to learn from each other, by exchanging good practices and developing useful tools for current and future European Youth Workers.Among the activities undertaken and main project’s results it is worth to mention the followings:•An online platform with different e-tools for youth workers, that also serves to share opportunities for training and professional development has been created and it is available in 5 different languages (EN,ES,IT,EL,DE) at: www.eu-network.net•Country Factsheets to Better understanding and for the recognition of skills and qualifications about youth work in Europe.•Surveys have been conducted and analysed on over 100 youth workers in the partner countries and a Final Comparative Report for a clear understanding of youth work has been developed, starting from the local level, for then enlarging the focus internationally.•A Project e-Booklet (Printable Handbook) that summarizes the project finding and shares many useful resources for youth workers have been developed•Videos to share the good practices of EU-NET and also to promote the Erasmus+ programme and Youth Work as a valid career path.•Many promotional activities of EU-NET, both through local events and via different social media created specifically for the project (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin).These results are available in 5 languages for free download as an Open Educational Resource (OER) from the official project website and they have produced the following main impact:-Common understanding of the role of a youth worker and what youth work is, thus contributing to a clearer definition of its framework among the EU-Increased opportunities for youth workers’ professional development.-Increased synergies and links and improvement transition between the different sectors of education.-Support the Standardization of youth work at international level, improving its understanding and state of the art in Europe by sharing good practices.-More awareness towards the Erasmus+ programme, with special regard to mobility, training opportunities, EVS and Youth work.-Better understanding and recognition of skills and qualifications about youth work in Europe
