</script><< Objectives >>This project aims to increase awareness about environmental sustainability, STEM interest and knowledge, and civic engagement. Through innovative water monitoring, participatory education, and interdisciplinary STEM activities around water, we empower students as active citizens while fostering their interest in STEM. By integrating real-world challenges into learning, we promote climate resilience and gender-inclusive STEM education, creating lasting impacts on education and sustainability.<< Implementation >>We will implement several interdisciplinary activities around the theme of water. Our students will collect and analyze data on biodiversity in freshwater bodies relevant to environmental sciences and be engaged with stakeholders about their findings, fostering civic engagement. Our learning approach bridges STEM education with geography and civic engagement, emphasizing participatory perspectives as well as promoting truly interdisciplinary approaches with hands-on acitvities.<< Results >>Students will gain STEM knowledge and increased interest in STEM (specifically for girls) based on the out-of-school realistic learning experiences they make. Self-efficacy in democratic participation and civic engagement skills will increase through hands-on water monitoring, contributing valuable environmental data. Teachers will access high-quality, research-based resources and professional networks. All outcomes of the project will be published in a didactic handbook and broadly disseminated
