</script>"In traditional learning systems, students are passive participants at all the educational levels. Their personal creativeness is not encouraged, nor are they challenged to think critically and originally. On completing the process of formal education, they are capable of more or less successfully reproducing the information they learned in the course of their schooling. The knowledge students acquire in the course of their education process has frequently turned out not to be really applicable or be rather inadequate to meet the modern requirements of the modern environment. Meeting new challenges calls for new priorities in education. It means an interactive style and education based on individual needs and abilities that should provide a completely new dimension of gaining knowledge and make learning a more convenient process. The crucial role in the children education play their parents. They are the first teachers of their children. There is a growing number of parents who want themselves / individually help their children to be more educated and successful in their lives. In addition, parents are becoming more aware and sensitive to the psychological and social implications of discouraging their children from pursuing something that they are not only passionate about but show promise in. Parents are learning to develop their child’s sense of self-worth. PaRentsEdu project is based on the needs and recommendations outlined by a number of parents, parents’ associations and the public and private organizations working in the field of Adult Education. Therefore our project’s objective is to actively involve parents into educational process of their children in the form of preparing and conducting different out-of-school activities, e.g. homeschooling/home education, alternative schools, after-schoolol activities, individual learning, etc. We achieve this objective through: 1) Identify and analyze the different forms of out-of-school education that involve parents. 2) The development of guide and tips (recommendations) for parents, how to organize different types of the out-off-school learning activities for their children. 3) The development of the learning platform for trainers and parents, including the training modules, materials and tools for trainers and parents. 4) To promote active parents involvement into the out-of-school education of their children. During the project prepared two Intellectual Outputs: - Toolkit for Parents. - Learning Platform. The PaRentsEdu project partnership is composed of the seven partners: Krakowskie Centrum Zarządzania i Administracji Sp. z o.o. - KCZIA - Poland (Krakow) - Coordinator, CAI - Conversas Associação Internacional - NGO from Portugal (Lisbon), SOLIDARIDAD SIN FRONTERAS ""SSF"" - NGO from Spain (Madrid), INTERCULTURA - NGO from France (Dinan), QENDRA RACIO - NGO from Macedonia (Skopje), District governorship of Turgutlu from Turkey (Manisa) Asociaţia Şcoala Inovaţiei - NGO from Romania (Tîrgu Jiu)."
