"<< Background >>The project was originally intended to facilitate the exchange of best practices among organizations working in the field of migration. In practice and in the new circumstances of the war in Ukraine, it also served as a tool for providing actual assistance to people in need. The project addressed the following needs:Enhancing knowledge about migration, including understanding the opportunities available to migrants, sending and receiving countries.Conducting a thorough analysis of the ""portrait of a migrant"" to identify stereotypes associated with migration and collectively seeking ways to combat these stereotypes.Gaining a deep understanding of cultural differences and barriers affecting individuals from migration backgrounds and developing methods to overcome them.Promoting social inclusion and diversity.Learning to cooperate and communicate with migrants, actively participating in their integration.Developing teamwork skills, including within an international group.Developing key competencies for both the hosting country and migrants.Promoting European values among foreigners who settle permanently in the EU.Establishing new contacts.<< Objectives >>While implementing the project, the main objective was to achieve a range of specific goals and outcomes that would have a positive impact on both migrating individuals and host communities:- Increasing knowledge and awareness- Providing support for migrants- Social integration- Reducing stereotypes and prejudices- Developing intercultural skills- Strengthening international cooperation- Enhancing key competencies- Raising public awareness- Supporting migration policy- Raising social awareness.<< Implementation >>During the project, three mobilities for adult learners were implemented:Mobility in Serbia (Caritas sv. Anastazija)Mobility in Poland (Caritas AP)Mobility in Serbia (CiM Foundation)as well as a series of local activities related to migration issues<< Results >>Exchange of best practices and experiences regarding the phenomenon of migration, issues faced by migrants, countries of origin and host countries, social inclusion of migrants, promotion of diversity, and overcoming cultural differences and barriers related to migration.Increasing the knowledge level of project participants in the field of migration (legal issues, analysis of statistical data, migration problems, and their solutions in individual countries).Identifying opportunities that arise for migrants, sending countries, and host countries.Creating a portrait of a migrant and conducting a detailed analysis of it.Overcoming cultural differences in local communities.Increasing the level of knowledge in cooperation and communication with migrants, actively participating in their integration.Improving cooperation skills within a group, including international groups.Establishing new contacts at local/national levels.Developed a ""Migrant's Cheat Sheet"" focusing on the needs of the target group, which was not initially planned during the project proposal stage but emerged during its implementation - Ukrainian immigrants."
