TourEdu4All - A holistic model to open Tourism VET for vulnerable groups

Description

TourEdu4All aims to strengthen the SSA Tourism VET system, enabling access for disadvantaged populations by focusing on empowerment, inclusion, and entrepreneurship practices. Namely, TourEdu4All will explore income-generating opportunities at VET level, digital distance learning and training, and excellence in Tourism, through the development of a Holistic Model for inclusion to access Tourism VET, based on the knowledge exchange of this networked collaboration, realistically adapted to the context of the partnering SSA countries. The Holistic Model for inclusion in Tourism VET, comprised of the gained expertise and Good Practices implemented by partnering VET institutions, will act as the basis for the development of the capacity-building training curriculum, targeting the training of VET providers and teachers/trainers, in order to cultivate skills that successfully correspond to the regional/national Tourism industry needs. The TourEdu4All activities are divided into 5 WPs & 19 Tasks. WP1 refers to the Project Management and Quality Assurance activities, while WP5 describes all Dissemination and Exploitation activities of the project. WP2 refers to the design of the Holistic Model, including 3 knowledge exchange study visits to the VET institutions implementing the Good Practices, producing an Analysis Report on the 4 pillars and a Report on Findings and Action driven recommendation.WP3 is comprised of the Development of the Holistic Raw Model, Action Plans adapted to an institutional level, and the Design and Development of the Training Curriculum. WP4 includes the selection of the VET trainers/educators that will be trained, the Delivery of the training that will produce the Implementation Report, and a Pilot implementation of 6 months that will yield the Operation Report and the Final 4 pillar Model for the inclusion of vulnerable groups through tourism training.
