CHIRNATIO

Description

One of the current expanding scientific challenges is the elaboration of chiral plasmonic nanostructures due to their unprecedented multidisciplinary potentialities in nano-optics, asymmetric catalysis, polarization-sensitive photochemistry but also for the detection of molecules. CHIRNATIO targets the design of chiral colloidal enantiomorphs with low structural dispersion. Various anisotropic chiral objects will be developed in order to modulate the optical properties from visible to infrared spectral range. To highlight their potentiality in enantioselective detection, they will be organized in supercrystals. This challenge is supported by an original approach unmatched in the literature, aiming at combining techniques newer to the field, namely low frequency Raman spectroscopy from NC acoustic modes and chiral surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) for molecular enantiomorph recognition.
