La actividad científica del CSIC a través del Web of Science. Estudio bibliométrico del período 2000-2006

Abstract

La producción científica del CSIC en la base de datos Web of Science (WOS) ascendió aproximadamente a 40.000 documentos en el periodo 2000-2006. Desde 1990 se observa una evolución ascendente del número de publicaciones del CSIC, predominando los artículos científicos, escritos mayoritariamente en inglés. El informe analiza con detalle cada una de las 8 áreas científico-técnicas, en las que se distribuyen los institutos del CSIC, siendo las de mayor producción Ciencia y Tecnología de Materiales y Biología/ Biomedicina (cada una aporta 20% de los documentos). Dicho informe también recoge la distribución geográfica de la producción que se concentra en un 47% en Madrid. En lo que se refiere a la colaboración internacional, los mayores vínculos son los existentes con la Unión Europea; a nivel nacional los mayores vínculos se producen entre Madrid y las comunidades de Andalucía y Cataluña. El estudio de la actividad científica del CSIC por disciplinas ISI permite identificar aquéllas en las que la institución tiene mayor producción (Bioquímica/ Biología Molecular, Química Física) o mayor impacto.
