La perspectiva de género en las ciencias del mar

Abstract

La ciencia la hacen personas y, las personas, somos diversas. ¿Tiene el sistema científico en cuenta a toda esa diversidad? ¿En qué punto está la ciencia en cuestiones de Diversidad, Equidad e Inclusión? En este episodio solo vamos a centrarnos en la cuestión de género, pero podría hablarse de muchas otras realidades. Científicas y científicos estudian lo mismo, pero históricamente no han ocupado los mismos espacios en la sociedad y, aún a día de hoy, existen diferencias en ese sentido. Por eso, la ciencia, que la hacen personas, no es ajena a las miradas diversas de quienes trabajan en ella. No solo vamos a hablar de estadísticas de igualdad. Precisamente, lo que vamos a hacer es abrir mucho más el foco para ver cómo las ciencias del mar se pueden beneficiar de integrar verdaderamente y con equidad a las mujeres, que aún no están del todo presentes en todas las etapas de la producción científica y de lo que rodea a esta profesión. Y vamos a hablar de esto con Silvia Donoso, investigadora de género y responsable de la Equality Task Force del Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC). Silvia es doctora en antropología social, máster en género y políticas de igualdad
