Abstract

En un archipiélago paradisíaco, las aguas turquesas se tiñen de horror cuando surge una plaga microscópica capaz de devorar peces, tortugas y, llegado el caso, desgarrar la piel humana. Estos copépodos mutados se convierten en un ejército voraz, imposible de ver a simple vista y de consecuencias devastadoras para quienes dependen del océano. En medio del caos, un grupo de científicos —la doctora Laura Martín, el biólogo marino Diego Suárez y el químico industrial Charles Peters, entre otros— une fuerzas contrarreloj para contener la pesadilla. Desde laboratorios improvisados hasta arriesgadas misiones en embarcaciones al filo de tormentas, buscan el arma que libere a Hawái de la plaga. Sin embargo, con cada paso, descubren que la amenaza trasciende las islas y se expande inexorablemente por el Pacífico, amenazando con clausurar un océano que siempre se creyó infinito y generoso. Copépodo: El terror invisible es una historia de ciencia, acción y dilemas morales, en la que la codicia y la negligencia humana terminan por despertar a un depredador letal. Una aventura que obliga a replantearnos la relación con el mar, cuando ya no hay vuelta atrás y el paraíso se convierte en el escenario de una batalla desesperada por la supervivencia
