Abstract

El dia 27 de juliol es van veure davant de les platges aigües de color vermellós (no gaire cridaner, més aviat apagat) en una franja paral·lela a la línia de costa. Personal de l'ICM van prendre mostres a la mateixa taca colorejada i el seu anàlisi microscòpic inicial va donar la presència d'un dinoglagel·lat de característiques morfològiques corresponent amb Gymnodinium catenatum Graham, formant un "bloom" gairebé monoespecífic (concentració cel·lular de 4 milions de cèl·lules/litre).
