Informe de la campaña Porcupine 2023

Abstract

La campaña de arrastre Porcupine (SP-PORC-Q3) es una campaña de evaluación de recursos demersales, incluida en la coordinación del ICES International Bottom Trawl Survey Working Group (IBTSWG), que el Instituto Español de Oceanografía (IEO) viene realizando en el banco de Porcupine, en aguas irlandesas, desde 2001, a bordo del B/O Vizconde de Eza de la Secretaria General de Pesca. El objetivo principal de la campaña es la estimación de los índices de abundancia de las especies demersales y bentónicas del banco, con especial atención a las especies comerciales explotadas por la flota española en el área: merluza (Merluccius merluccius), rapes (Lophius piscatorius y Lophius budegassa), gallos (Lepidorhombus whiffiagonis y Lepidorhombus boscii) y cigala (Nephrops norvegicus). En 2023, la campaña se desarrollo entre el 8 de septiembre y el 14 de octubre. El informe detalla los antecedentes, metodología, desarrollo, incidencias y principales resultados de la campaña.
