Exposición ‘Severo Ochoa: un científico apasionado’

Abstract

Muestra expositiva, organizada por la SEBBM (I. Yruela EEAD-CSIC, ed. y coord; R. Revilla e I. Varela-Nieto IIBM-CSIC, coords.) junto con la Fundación Carmen y Severo Ochoa (FCySO), sobre la historia y el legado del Prof. Severo Ochoa, premio Nobel de Fisiología y Medicina en 1959. Ochoa influyó en la modernización y la promoción de la ciencia en España. Tuvo un papel destacado en la constitución de la Sociedad Española de Bioquímica (SEB) actual SEBBM y en la incorporación de la SEB a la Federación Europea de Sociedades de Bioquímica (FEBS). Los paneles expuestos recorren las distintas etapas de la vida del Prof. Ochoa, sus trabajos de investigación, sus logros científicos y su legado en España hasta hoy. La inauguración tuvo lugar el 2 de septiembre de 2024 en el Museo Domus de A Coruña, durante el 46º Congreso de la SEBBM. La muestra permaneció expuesta el resto del mes de septiembre de 2024. Posteriormente, se exhibirá en la sede de la Real Academia Nacional de Medicina de España, con motivo de la I Semana Severo Ochoa, del 29 de octubre de 2024 al 31 de enero de 2025. También se reproducirá la Exposición, paralelamente, del 24 octubre al 20 de diciembre de 2024, en la Estación Experimental de Aula Dei (CSIC) con ocasión de la conmemoración de su 80 Aniversario.
