Abstract

La campaña de investigación oceanográfico-pesquera EL SALVADOR 2009, dirigida por el Instituto Español de Oceanografía, es la primera campaña de Cooperación entre España y El Salvador, con el objetivo principal de conocer la composición específica de la fauna demersal de la plataforma y talud continental de El Salvador, así como los rendimientos de las principales especies capturadas. La campaña se realizó entre el 2 y el 14 de diciembre de 2009 a bordo del buque de investigación Miguel Oliver, propiedad de la Secretaría General del Mar. El área de estudio comprende los fondos de la plataforma y talud de la costa pacífica de El Salvador desde los 100 m hasta la isóbata de 1000 m de profundidad, entre los grados 13º N - 88º W y 14º N - 90º W.
