Abstract

A fishing survey on board the F/V “La Española” was carried out in the waters of Angola Popular Republic during November 15-December 2 of 1989. The surveyed area was between Lat. 5º S and 12º 20’ S and the depths of 50-800 meters. A total of 98 trawls of ½ hours duration were done of which 90 were valid. The prospected area was divided in two separate sectors by Palmerinhas Cape (North and South sectors). Each sector was divided in 8 different depths strata. The present document analyzes the yields of half-hour trawls, obtained for Parapenaeus longirostris (Lucas, 1846), by sex in each sector and depth strata, as well as the relationships between total length to cephalotoracic length, length-weight and maduration studies of females caught is also presented.
