Abstract

La Colección de Ictiología es la más numerosa de las colecciones de vertebrados del MNCN. Está considerada una colección moderna por el gran crecimiento que ha experimentado en los últimos años pero tiene su origen en la propia creación del Museo. Esto hace que se conserven en sus fondos ejemplares de gran importancia histórica como los casi 1.800 peces procedentes de la Comisión Científica del Pacífico según la documentación asociada.
