Abstract

En el tiempo que nos ocupa fue decisivo el período a caballo entre los siglos XIV y XV. Se inicia, entonces, una convulsa etapa de trueques, ventas, enajenaciones… consecuencia evidente del poder e influencia cuasi omnímodos que encierran privanzas, validajes y condestablías. La situación sería muy similar a mediados del reinado de Juan II y, cómo no, durante la etapa de Enrique IV, su hijo; el monarca castellano que mayor número de mercedes concedió en las dos décadas que estuvo al servicio de Castilla.
