Descripción de Las conchas de los ammonites

Abstract

Las conchas de los ammonites es una exposición cedida por la Asociación Paleontológica Alcarreña NAUTILUS. Permite conocer, admirar y estudiar estos cefalópodos extintos que consiguieron adaptarse a su entorno como pocos animales han podido hacer. Su tamaño milimétrico al nacer supuso que formaran parte del plancton durante las primeras fases de su desarrollo y consiguieron una distribución mundial arrastrados por las corrientes marinas. Su adaptabilidad y capacidad de evolución les permitieron sobrevivir a los continuos cambios de su entorno y a superar varias crisis biológico-planetarias importantes. Se estructura en torno a tres ámbitos: ‘Dimorfismo sexual', ‘Depredación' y ‘Ammonites heteromorfos'. Esta exposición forma parte del programa de actividades del año 2018 con el que la Sociedad de
