Podcast Arabistas pioneras. Episodio 1: Joaquina Eguaras. 90 Aniversario de la Escuela de Estudios Árabes

Abstract

Este año se conmemora el 90 aniversario de la inauguración de la Escuela de Estudios Árabes de Granada (EEA). Para celebrarlo, hemos querido recordar a una de sus investigadoras y profesoras de árabe más insignes: Joaquina Eguaras Ibáñez. Esta pionera del arabismo español estuvo vinculada a la EEA desde que sus inicios y, además, ejerció una intensa labor académica y cultural en la Universidad, el Museo Arqueológico y otras instituciones de la ciudad. Nos relata el episodio Estefanía Valenzuela Mochón, investigadora postdoctoral en la Escuela de Estudios Árabes de Granada. Se doctoró en Lingüística Árabe por la Universidad de Tejas en Austin en 2020. Su trabajo se centra en el análisis de fuentes escritas anteriores al siglo XX, con un enfoque específico en la variación lingüística que recogen los documentos compuestos en al-Andalus y el Magreb y su relación con otras variedades escritas y orales del árabe.
