Abstract

Tres artículos publicados en la revista de la International Society for Microbial Ecology han analizado la diversidad microbiana oculta: "La mitad de procariotas --bacterias y arqueobacterias-- podrían representar nuevas especies", ha dicho el responsable de uno de los trabajos Guillem Salazar. Uno de los trabajos concluyó que un 46% de las secuencias genéticas de bacterias y arqueobacterias son nuevas para la ciencia, y otro de los estudios reveló que las secuencias genéticas de eucariotas desconocidas llegan al 59% del total.
