Abstract

La temperatura del agua marina influye en la evolución de los depredadores de bacterias del océano, esenciales para el reciclaje de nutrientes, según el Instituto de Ciencias del Mar (ICM) de Barcelona. El estudio, publicado en la revista científica Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, constata que la temperatura del agua y el tipo de presas disponibles para estos depredadores afectan a su evolución y fomentan la aparición de nuevas especies. Los depredadores de las bacterias del océano son microorganismos eucariotas unicelulares que ayudan a reciclar los nutrientes en los niveles superiores de las cadenas alimentarias marinas. [...]
