De los Beatles a Taylor Swift: un análisis de la música más versionada del siglo XXI

Abstract

Versionar una canción implica de alguna forma un tributo o reconocimiento a la influencia de un grupo o artista anterior. Por eso, conocer qué artistas y géneros son los más versionados puede darnos muchas pistas sobre cómo evolucionan los gustos y las preferencias musicales a lo largo del tiempo. Con este objetivo, en el Instituto de Estudios Avanzados (IESA) del CSIC hemos utilizado técnicas de big data para extraer y procesar información sobre más de 800.000 versiones y 100.000 intérpretes que albergan las plataformas web SecondHandSongs y Allmusic.
