Abstract

Este número muestra la investigación básica del CSIC para impulsar la transición energética hacia un modelo basado en energías renovables, menos dependiente los combustibles fósiles. Aborda el estudio de fuentes energéticas renovables como la solar, la geotérmica y la nuclear de fusión, nuevas tecnologías de almacenamiento, electrificación industrial, captura y reutilización del carbono, y métodos más eficientes de producción de hidrógeno como vector de energías limpias. También muestra la transferencia del conocimiento y nuevas patentes en tecnologías de producción y almacenamiento de energía. Asimismo, recorre la cooperación internacional de la institución en materia energética y la especialización de los investigadores jóvenes. Finalmente, el investigador y divulgador Antonio Turiel analiza la crisis de materias primas y su influencia en el sistema energético mundial.
