"Arcangelo Corelli: Concerti Grossi, Opus 6" is the sixth and final opus of Arcangelo Corelli, containing his twelve grand concertos for three solo instruments and an accompanying ensemble. Stands out as one of the most influential collections of instrumental music produced in the 18th century. Published posthumously in Amsterdam in 1714, Opus 6 is Corelli’s only set of concertos and did much to consolidate and expand his reputation. Corelli is generally recognised as the first composer whose fame rested entirely on the production of instrumental works, and the circulation of these works in print.
