Abstract

La IX Reunió Especial Consultiva dels Països Firmants del Tractat Antàrtic, en la qual es debatrà el futur de l'explotació de minerals en aquest continent i la seva protecció mediambiental, va ser inaugurada ahir a Madrid pel ministre espanyol d'Afers Estrangers, Francisco Fernández Ordóftez, coincidint amb el Dia Mundial de la Terra. La delegació espanyola vol que el continent antàrtic sigui declarat reserva natural, opinió que defensen la majoria de governs de la Comunitat Europea
