Abstract

[ES] La misión del IEM es contribuir al avance del conocimiento en las principales líneas de investigación del Instituto, generar sinergias entre los distintos Grupos de Investigación que lo componen, aprovechando su carácter multidisciplinar y sus enfoques teórico/experimental y de ciencia básica y aplicada, y contribuir a la formación de personal científico en las distintas etapas de la carrera investigadora. La visión del IEM es convertirse en un instituto de referencia en la frontera de la actividad científica representada por la investigación que en él se desarrolla para contribuir de forma decisiva a resolver los principales retos que la sociedad afronta. Esta actividad científica ha quedado plasmada durante 201 9 en 156 publicaciones ISI.

[EN] The mission of the IEM is to contribute to the advance of knowledge in key research areas of the Institute, to generate synergies between different research groups that compose it, taking advantage of its multidisciplinary nature, together with their theoretical and experimental experience in basic and applied science, and to contribute to the training of scientific personnel in the various stages of the research career. The vision of IEM is to become a reference institution on the frontier of the scientific activity represented by the research that it develops to boldly contribute to solve the main challenges that society faces. This scientific activity, during 2019, has crystallized in 156 ISI publications.
