Interactive virtual tour to Madinat al-Zahra'

Abstract

[EN] This application allows an interactive virtual tour to the reconstruction of the palatine city of Madinat al-Zahra’, built by the Umayyad Caliphs of al-Andalus eight kilometers from Cordoba between the years 936 and 1010. The reconstruction may be seen using spherical panoramas of 360° linked together allowing an interactive tour of the areas until now discovered in the Alcázar, accessible through the application. The virtual reconstruction and the application have been produced by the Laboratory of Archaeology and Architecture of the City (LAAC) of the School of Arabic Studies of Granada, belonging to the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), in collaboration with the Legacy of al-Andalus Foundation.
