Selección de libros especializados en agricultura 1900-1930 de la EEAD-CSIC en SIMURG

Abstract

El proyecto EEAD-CSIC 2018 que ahora presentamos en SIMURG, complementario de los anteriores, y probablemente precursor de otros proyectos, pretende cubrir paulatinamente el período <1950 con una muestra significativa, centrándose en una selección de libros existentes en nuestra Biblioteca publicados entre 1900 y 1930, de materia específica agraria, no digitalizados en otros proyectos nacionales ni internacionales conocidos, y, por supuesto, susceptibles de dominio público. Son 29 los títulos seleccionados finalmente de entre 83 preseleccionados y analizados, muy representativos todos ellos de la ciencia agraria en el primer tercio del s. XX. Destacan la mayoría por su didacticismo, con bastante carga de grabados y figuras, muy en línea con la implantación y generalización de las enseñanzas de las ingenierías agrícolas en ese período, y por entender la actividad agraria como una actividad económica muy susceptible de modernización y mejora, con la necesidad de aplicar nuevos conocimientos fruto de la investigación y experimentación a en los cultivos y su medio.
