Litología del utillaje lítico de la Cueva de Chufin (Ridones, Santander)

Abstract

Se determinan las características petrológicas (petrografía de lámina delgada) y mineralogía (Difracción de Rx) de utensilios líticos extraídos de un potente nivel del Solutrense Superior. Se determina la presencia de cuarcitas y tres tipos diferentes de sílex. Después del estudio detallado se llega a la conclusión que el material utilizado para la elaboración de los utensilios se encuentra en zonas cercanas, tanto en afloramientos de roca como en depósitos fluviales.
