Part of a historic collection of geological maps of New Jersey done by George H. Cook in 1889. These maps are the result of the official surveys of New Jersey. The Geoditic portion is the work of the U.S. Coast and Geodectic Survey. The Topographic portion has been done by surveyors employed by and under the direction of the Geological Survey (including Prof. Henry D. Rogers, Dr. William Kitchell, and George H. Cook)
