"The project focuses to improve the quality of EU citizens’ education, as well as their living standards and social inclusion. The theme of the project was chosen to achieve the EU priority “Europe 2020 Strategy” regarding the intelligent increase favourable to inclusion through education and a healthy life. We chose the theme also based on the fact that current science has demonstrated the importance of emotional education in the development of the individual, an idea supported by UNESCO which, in 2002, initiated a world programme to promote the emotional education and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in 140 countries. The project is addressed to a socially disadvantaged category in the partner countries: adults that care for children with emotional problems, a phenomenon found in the partner countries because of various causes: leaving families to work abroad and letting the children at home in the care of other people (which leads to social-emotional problems ) broken or conflictual families,, use of wrong educational methods in children education etc. This phenomenon has serious consequences not only in children's behaviour (stress, school dropout, violence, depression, even suicide) but also affect the family and the quality of the life of the adults who care for them, hindering a normal life and their effective integration into society. Starting from here, the project proposes an EU cooperation to improve the skills of the staff regarding the education of adults who care for preschool and primary school children with emotional problems, but also experimenting innovative methods to educate this category of adults . Unemployment is one of the biggest challenges in contemporary Europe. People with a low educational level, few skills, or who belong to disadvantaged situations have been deeply affected by the economic crisis and those who are in a long-term unemployment situation have a high risk of permanent exclusion from the WFD. In this context, however, an innovative adaptation of the training system to new learning needs is needed to support and develop the skills required not only by the WF but also by the social and cultural challenges posed by a globalized world: for people at risk of social vulnerability It is important to promote an innovative process of development and learning, to increase knowledge, skills and competences in a perspective of personal and social development and increasing employability. The SEMALE project has extended and refined the skills of teachers, educators, trainers, tutors, etc (the so-called trainers), in order to put into practice effective tools to improve the basic skills and key competences of specific groups of adult learners who at the moment they are not covered by any training offer; we focused on the development of a training model aimed at trainers, to qualify and support them in actions to promote the personal, social and organizational skills of people with social disadvantages and in situations of vulnerability. SEMALE has implemented an exchange of good practices between AE entities, in order to implement a set of useful tools, so-called Toolkit addressed to AE trainers who in their countries then tested an innovative didactic model, in order to stimulate professional integration, competitiveness, entrepreneurship, social integration, active citizenship and personal development of adult learners, and which can later be used by other AE centers and be transferred to various sectoral and geographic realities The partnership was chosen in order to maximize the effectiveness of all the activities and the quality of the project results, as well as the impact on all parties involved and the representativeness of geographically distant and culturally different European countries (Italy, Germany , Spain, Romania, Denmark and Holland); A partner in the United Kingdom had also been identified but immediately gave up participating in the project. The activities between the partners were coordinated by Polaris through regular communication, in English, the common language used by the project partners. 3 project meetings were held (the kick-off meeting in Denmark, an intermediate one in the Netherlands and the last one in Italy) All meetings will be attended by all partner organizations with a delegation of 1 or 2 staff members for each partner who will then have the role of reporting the decisions taken during the meetings within each organization. Two training events were held: C1 for trainers / teachers in the Adut Education in Germany C2 for Adult learners in Spain, lasting 10 days. The SEMALE project will continue to produce results beyond the end of the project; its sustainability is in re ipsa since it is a project that is intended to enhance the key competences and training standards regarding the training modules and teaching methodologies related to the teaching and learning processes in adult education. This is also why the partnership has made it clear from now on that it will be necessary to continue checking the accuracy of the guidelines, tools and the designed course over the years, identified through surveys and checklists and then to report the results on the site. of the project. The latter will also be active in the years following the end of the project and will be available to anyone interested in learning more about the activities, the results of the project and extracting copies of each type of material produced. The website will continue to exist at the end of the project and therefore access to all the products produced will continue to be guaranteed; furthermore, all the subjects involved in the project partnership are training and / or education bodies and therefore each of them will insert the portal among its own training and updating tools for teachers and trainers.

The project EU-NET: “Enhancing a Universal guide and NETwork for the youth workers of the future” aims at creating an international network for promoting the excellence in youth work, focused on sharing methods, tools and skills of the employees and youth workers in the sphere of Erasmus+ and beyond. The project Partnership was composed by 5 European organizations, representing 4 different Countries (Spain, Italy, Germany and Greece) and all active in the field of youth work, non-formal education, mobility and volunteering programs. One of the motivations behind EU-NET was the fact that youth work hasn’t been officially recognized yet in Spain, Italy or Greece. However, in Germany it is already mandatory to study youth work for 4 years before starting to work as a youth worker. That implies that situation in different countries are not the same and thus it was possible to learn from each other, by exchanging good practices and developing useful tools for current and future European Youth Workers.Among the activities undertaken and main project’s results it is worth to mention the followings:•An online platform with different e-tools for youth workers, that also serves to share opportunities for training and professional development has been created and it is available in 5 different languages (EN,ES,IT,EL,DE) at: www.eu-network.net•Country Factsheets to Better understanding and for the recognition of skills and qualifications about youth work in Europe.•Surveys have been conducted and analysed on over 100 youth workers in the partner countries and a Final Comparative Report for a clear understanding of youth work has been developed, starting from the local level, for then enlarging the focus internationally.•A Project e-Booklet (Printable Handbook) that summarizes the project finding and shares many useful resources for youth workers have been developed•Videos to share the good practices of EU-NET and also to promote the Erasmus+ programme and Youth Work as a valid career path.•Many promotional activities of EU-NET, both through local events and via different social media created specifically for the project (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin). These results are available in 5 languages for free download as an Open Educational Resource (OER) from the official project website and they have produced the following main impact:-Common understanding of the role of a youth worker and what youth work is, thus contributing to a clearer definition of its framework among the EU-Increased opportunities for youth workers’ professional development.-Increased synergies and links and improvement transition between the different sectors of education.-Support the Standardization of youth work at international level, improving its understanding and state of the art in Europe by sharing good practices.-More awareness towards the Erasmus+ programme, with special regard to mobility, training opportunities, EVS and Youth work.-Better understanding and recognition of skills and qualifications about youth work in Europe
