</script>"""How healthy are You?"" is a project which stems from the precept that Europe suffers from a major problem regarding health. Health problems have become one of the main problems of Europe as it caused 1 million deaths per year due to the lack of physical activity – especially in high-income countries. The UE encourages its member for a healthy and active lifestyle in every aspect of life as a daily routine. All the partners involved in this project are commited with this concern and they are initiated in our common goal at their schools which supposes the main reason to create this Strategic Association to develop the project. From the beginning to the end of this project, we will focus on developing health habits and strategies to look after the three main areas of health: physical, mental and environmental. Our aim for students are:-ensuring social inclusion,-improving basic social communication, investigation and critical thinking skills-learn from other cultures for diversity and heritage-increase healthy habits amongst our educative community-create responsible EU Citizens-develop 21st century key competences-working on nature-friendly tasks-improve emotional wellbeingAmongst the learning partners we will create long-lasting lesson plans and teaching resources while sharing expertise, creating awareness of health problem and keeping away from physical and emotional bullying. All the partners have similar motivation about our project idea so in the preparation period they made good and meaningful contributions. All of our activities are decided in concensus and every partner is responsible for implementing each of our activities at their institutions. Our students will take an active role during the consecution of this project, gaining a health license as they reach the objectives as well as being involved in the gardening, recycling and mediation clubs.ETwinning has been used from the early beginning of our project idea. We searched partners on eTwinning and after the partnership was formed we created our eTwinning group and project under the same name “How Healthy Are You?” for equal exchange information, communication, planning and organisation of the project. Our project activities will run simultaneously on our twinspace. The Erasmus team will have weekly coordination meeting in each of the schools, the coordinators will be in touch via etwinning , whatsapp, mail... in order to follow up the work and activities planned to provide extra details about the organisation and planning of the transnational activities. During the 24 months of this project, we planned 3 short-term joint staff training events and 6 short-term exchanges of groups of pupils. Although the LTT Activities and local activities mainly focus on Y6 students, the rest of the students will also participate in project activities; since we aim to have an impact in the whole school community: class teachers, school families and other members of the community (non-gubernamental charities, city council, associations, local media...) will be part of this project in different learning activities. Our project will include our school members with cultural differences, educational difficulties, disabilities, economical obstacles and health problems. We will encourage and support them all to take part in all the activities. Each partner has a project team and this team will be responsible for all kind of planning and implementation of local and international activities, communicating with partners, planning and organising the mobilities and diseeminating the results as well as ensuring all school teachers are involved. We searched partners on eTwinning to find partners to our project idea that has started from a Rolling Health School Project at our school. Among the many applicants, we selected the most highly motivated partners. There are both experienced and inexperienced schools in our partnership but during our preparation period we saw that we selected the best partners as they are very hepful, hardworking and reliable. All of the partners have made good contributions to our project idea.By the end of this project, each learning partner wishes to have had a long lasting result which will benefit their school community: the Italian school from Como aims to apply for allowance to eat own grown food at their school canteen; the Spanish school in Fraga will apply for the creation of a cycle path in the city whilst the Welsh school wishes to improve their littering service at their beach in Barry; the Turkish school also wants to establish three healthy clubs (gardening, cycling and recycling) at their institution. The consecution of these activities and the results will be widely spread in order to encourage the society supporting the EU major problem regarding health."

</script>The project is innovative as it combines global citizenship with a real passion to promote learning cross-curricularly, pupil voice being central to the project and at the heart of all decision making and part of the process. It will give pupils a real opportunity to understand their roles as active global citizens through classroom activities and projects that will motivate them to learn as they will get to share these with a real audience. The project focuses on developing Rights Respecting Pupils who value the UNICEF Rights Charter. The UNICEF Rights Charter is an important document that children need to understand and respect. All schools involved in the partnership believe that an European focus through Erasmus will allow our pupils to develop a true understanding of these Rights through collaborative work between countries. The project will allow students to collaboratively work with other European pupils on developing their understanding of these rights and to become critical thinkers. Having an authentic, international audience for their work will inspire and motivate them to investigate, discuss and understand more fully the universal nature of these rights and the significance of their role. The project aims to develop skills and competencies which are essential for successful professional and personal life. As a result we need to raise and modernise education systems to develop critical thinking, a vital skill needed in the 21st century to be able to make responsible choices in a world where media dominates and fake news abounds. We will engage pupils to learn about being responsible global citizens by using modern technologies throughout and then activities to unite pupils and get them talking will be ones focusing on cultures and traditions of our European friends, celebrating these together while respecting each other and educating them on the rights. Our project will be inclusive, giving all our pupils and staff, regardless of their age, economical background, race, gender or ability, the opportunity to develop the key skills across the curriculum, with particular focus on ICT, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics, Sport and Literacy in a meaningful and interesting way. We feel that these topics are essential for them to grow and live a healthy life as rights respecting pupils. Using innovative technology will motivate them to learn, as their work will have a real audience. The project includes using a variety of social media - website, blog, twitter - therefore we will teach pupils the importance of using these safely and responsibly and ensuring they are safe online. The project is needed to stimulate and open the minds of all our pupils, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds to have high aspirations and develop higher order skills, preparing them to use these key skills in life through engaging them in digital skills, entrepreneurial projects, cultural heritage development and literacy . The project also promotes sharing practices between our teachers. It allows our teachers an opportunity for professional development as they share teaching pedagogy's and methodologies with each other to support our pupils to be successful learners in the future. They will go on learning, teaching, training events to share best practise and resources and develop their understanding and challenge their ideas on how pupils learn best. It will be a way of sharing internationally best practise and giving our pupils the best opportunities to succeed for a successful future.

</script>The aim of the project was to combine collaboration of expertise from around Europe with the use of ICT to develop our pupils into Global Citizens who are open-minded, critical thinkers who are not afraid of the challenges which they face in the 21st century, instead they face them with confidence. We worked together to develop an open and innovative delivery of education in our schools for pupils between the ages of 3 – 11 year, which is embedded in the digital era. Our priority was sharing and developing a program that addresses under-achievement in the basic skills of mathematics and literacy through more effective, innovative teaching methods which we will develop together.Five partner countries participated in the project and each country did at least 18 mobilities and sent at least two partners to each project meeting. Our objectives were reached as all activities planned enabled us to develop pupils' motivation and inspire them to develop in the basic skills for future employment and to recognise their roles and responsibilities as Global Citiizens. Through the project they developed a variety of essential skills; literacy; numeracy; ICT; communication, peer development, decision making and critical thinking. The range of activities planned broadened the learning opportunities for our pupils whist providing both students and staff opportunities to develop and learn new methodologies and teaching strategies, giving opportunities to learn best from each other new and innovative teaching strategies for an effective curriculum to motivate our learners to support them in the future when working. In the first year we focused on Problem solving. A teaching and training event took place in Denmark whereby our Danish co-ordinators trained us on innovative techniques to improve Mathematics of pupils. Following the training pupils worked on these new strategies, all schools developed 'active maths' and shared learning techniques and problem solving strategies to support and develop our pupils mathematical ability. By the end of the first year we had succeeded in the journey to developing our pupils as independent mathematicians with strategies to complete problems. A collection of mathematical questions were put together as an end product and posters created to help pupils solve mathematical problems. In the second year we focused on raising reading standards. We looked at the Pie Corbett technique to develop pupils vocabulary and interest in books and shared traditional tales getting pupils to create digital animations of these stories. We visited Poland and learnt more about their reading strategies and shared reading strategies together to implement back at our schools the ideas which would be most effective. From the activities pupils developed confidence and interest in becoming independent readers and began to identify: why they are reading; what they want to get out of the material, and how thoroughly they need to understand it. The end product was a digital animated video of the pupils favourite traditional tales re-told by the pupils. The final year of the project focused on develping critical and open thinkers. A training event was held in Wales where the UNICEF charter was looked at in detail and what it meant to be a Rights Respecting School. Training was given by Sue Lyle leading philosophy for Children co-ordinator and each partner country gained tools and strategies to implement philosophy for children successfully in their schools. All pupils gained an opportunity to develop to be critical thinkers through being taught how to create their own philosophical questions which they then explore together to open their minds so they can live interdependently in the 21st century and face any obstacles or challenges thrown at them in life by having an open mind and ability to discuss with appropriate vocabulary. Also the end product was a book written and illustrated by pupils from each partner school promoting a UNICEF right through a philosophical book. These books were shared in Poland at the final meeting for pupils to enjoy and read back at their schools. The longer term impact of the project will be sharing of good practise via our website to raise the quality of teaching and learning and impact on the future of our pupils by raising standards of attainment in basic skills as well as developing them as ethical and informed young Global Citizens. All resources created and shared are available to use and download for free on our partner website inspire2motivate.orgAlso the opportunities that our pupils will have faced will be invaluable to supporting them to become global citizens who realise their roles and responsibilities. It will also allow us to work collaboratively on an European level, becoming much more knowledgeable practitioners to impact on our pupils learning.
