"The ""How we teach and learn English"" project has been a response to the needs of the partner schools from Portugal, Spain, Romania, Slovakia and Poland in the field of language education. All the schools are the same vocational type and the students in many cases come from similar backgrounds. The same have also been the problems with motivating students to studying foreign languages. We also thought of students with economic obstacles. This project intended to get them involved in learning at European level. The main objectives of the project were: improving the quality and attractiveness of language education, integration of foreign languages and other subjects with help of modern, digital technology and creating attitude of openness to international cooperation. Approximately 100 students and teachers from five partner schools have been involved directly. The tangible results of the project activities are educational resources for use in lessons of different subjects. The innovative aspect of the project is the use of CLIL method in general education and vocational classes. Teachers involved in the project developed scenarios of such lessons. Development of teaching skills has been our objective as well. Among others, the status of teachers depends on their qualifications, attractive and effective lessons they carry out and ability to communicate with students and teachers from other countries. Activities like blended mobilities and short training programs helped to accomplish the project results. Virtual cooperation in conjunction with real meetings made it possible to achieve the highest quality. The use of modern digital technology and foreign languages improved competences in this area, both among the project participants and other target groups. The European dimension of the project made the achieved results available among a very large number of recipients, and various ways of dissemination of results of the project ensure their durability. All the results are open and allow for the continuation and development of the project activities by the next generation of students."
International cooperation between the initial vocational education and training (VET) is very often focused on the mobilities of students, teachers and trainers, on the development of the joint new training and/or study programmes and other issues. All these fields of cooperation are very important for improvement of quality and attractiveness of initial VET in the different countries. However, the potential benefits of such cooperation can remain very limited, if this cooperation does not entail methodical and holistic exchanges in the field of curriculum design by considering the comparative strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of curriculum design in the partners. Therefore, the main objectives of the project “European Partnership for Service Specialists” were to establish and develop long-term partnership and network of the initial VET institutions focused on the curriculum design in the different occupational fields, to improve the contents of VET curricula and make them more oriented to the international labour market needs, enhancing effective and beneficial international movement of students and graduates in the European Union. The project was implemented by seven initial VET institutions from 4 EU countries: Karaliaus Mindaugo profesinio mokymo centras (Lithuania), Wisamar Bildungsgesellschaft gemeinnuetzige GmbH (Germany), Johanniter Akademie Bildungsinstitut Mitteldeutschland (Germany), Sächsische Bildungsgesellschaft für Umweltschutz und Chemieberufe Dresden mbH (Germany), Euroform RFS (Italy), FEDERAZIONE CNOS FAP VENETO (Italy) and ESPROMINHO - ESCOLA PROFISSIONAL DO MINHO, LDA (Portugal). The partnership took the following steps to achieve foreseen objectives:-Developed the methodology for update and development of training modules in accordance to EQF level V requirements and labour market needs;-Analysed and compared the work processes of 4 occupations: Florist manager, Administrator of Hospitality Services, Paramedic and Fashion Shop Designer;-Analysed and compared competences and learning outcomes of selected occupational fields outlined in the curricula of partner countries;-Developed a catalogue of work processes, related competences and learning outcomes typical for partner countries in the field of selected occupations;-Developed 4 training modules for the selected occupational fields which corresponds EQF level V requirements;-Tested designed training modules through mobility of the learners;-Developed methodological guidelines for the selection, usage and adaptation of training modules in designing VET Curricula. The project has developed 5 intellectual outputs which include the main results of the activity steps described above. Notwithstanding initially planned results and impact for VET stakeholders, the project had a great impact for EQF level V qualification development in partner countries: two complete training programmes providing EQF level V qualification were produced and released for implementation in the EU countries where EQF level V qualification is only taking the first steps: Germany (Paramedic) and Lithuania (Administrator of Hospitality Services).
Actual society is rapidly changing and we are creating a framework where people is expected to move more frequently from their birthplaces to different locations. To succeed in this new situation it is important to know how to communicate with each other in a multicultural context, with different languages, religions, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. And the first step in this direction is to know what defines the identity of people, at individual and community level; what defines our own identity. We need to take action and to be aware of the importance of Nature and Cultural heritage. In this project we intend to valorize all those natural and cultural, material and non material resources at local level that, not being milestones of civilization, also help us to explain who we are, our history and our idiosyncrasy. Our objectives are:- To raise interest on natural and cultural heritage, particularly in Europe.- To highlight the importance of environment as an essential element in our lives.- To put into practice new methodological tools based on outdoor activities on local natural and cultural resources with a holistic and multidisciplinary approach.- To promote creativity and entrepreneurship towards the promotion and valuation of environment and material and immaterial cultural heritage. The project partners are five schools from Latvia, Turkey, Serbia, Italy and Portugal, all of them secondary school, two general education schools and three vocational training ones. All of them with experience working on transnational projects and with an interesting heritage in their locations. The project is addressed to students 14 to 19 years old.The project activities are planned to investigate about the local natural and cultural heritage, their influence on people’s identity and their potential as a tool to communicate and to work together as well as to promote the development of the local areas where they are located, at both social and economic level. The working scheme is to learn and investigate about the local heritage resources and share that knowledge in transnational meetings; to learn about the entrepreneurial project linked to those heritage resources and to raise appreciation and consideration towards it with the development of promotional material at local and transnational level. Approximately more than 140 mobility (mainly student mobility) is planned for 2 years. It is widely agreed that the prosperity of our world’s future is closely connected to well-educated children. In our project we will make it clear that each student’s voice is heard, because in a milieu of cultural diversity different views act as a catalyst for progress at each level of social life. Student exchanges and other activities in the project will also enhance an understanding toward diverse perspectives on European citizenship and help our students to develop an appreciation of the European cultural diversity and an empathy for different cultures. We will have LTTAs in the concept of Short Exchange of Pupils. During these LTTAs partners and student will devote time to learn about the heritage of the host countries reflecting on the influence of heritage on people’s identity, learning about the threats and opportunities of Natural heritage and the importance of the cultural one, creating promotional material based on their own gathered material (pictures, video clips, graphs, maps, etc.). In the mid-project LTT act, teachers will learn basic concepts of marketing and about how to promote entrepreneurial skills in their pupils, as they will explore the possibilities to use heritage to promote growth and development and will pick up local entrepreneurs on heritage to present case studies to their colleagues. The last short-term teachers training will be on the creation of a methodology to work on heritage as an educational tool to be made available for everybody via ICT tools under a creative commons licence. All the project activity will be based on a project based learning with a multidisciplinary approach organized around outdoor activities and peer-learning sessions in a cooperative transnational working atmosphere. We intend with this project to raise awareness in our students and the educational community towards local heritage and its importance, providing other schools with the guidance and examples needed to replicate the initiative in future projects at local or transnational level with great success. CCE is a Project aiming to make its participants be aware of other cultures and Their Ntaural and Cultural heritage while it is aiming at the same time to make people be aware of their own environment and Natural and Cultural Heritage. Thanks to CCE, we strongly believe in that the More They are aware of their environment, the More they know How to interprete the effects of their environment on their life, The happier and the More successfull citizens they will be.

Act it! Film it! Share it! is a two-year project which brings together schools from Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of North Macedonia and Denmark. We aim at celebrating our diverse cultural heritage, theatre in particular, across Europe and implementing digital media and web tools in teaching and learning through performing arts. Our schools support the intent of the European Commission and local cultural institutions to encourage more people to discover and engage with Europe's cultural heritage, and to reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space and thus contribute to sustainability of 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage. We promote eSafety and the use of eTwinning opportinities to share ideas and disseminate our outcomes. Thus the strategic partnership will develop a paralel eTwinning project to benefit from all e-tools it provides for communication, joint activities, assessment of project progress and dissemination. The project leaders have designed various national and international project activities. The participant students and teachers will learn together and from each other but they will also learn from local professionals and benefit from their competences and expertise. We will develop our project around two main pillars: theatre and ICT. Our project participants (students aged 13-19, staff, parents and wider community) will learn about national and international cultural heritage and use ICT to elaborate products. They will collaborate on topics like history of theatre and types of world theatre, writing joint scenarios, putting up plays, making masks and costumes, filming and livestreaming performances, use of online apps to edit voice and images, add sound effects, making film trailers conveying meaningful messages on moral values and tolerance. Students who participate in national activities and international Learning/Training activities such as workshops, interactive games, festivals, will bring gained knowledge and competences back to their own school communities and act as trainers to peers and younger learners from other educational institutions. Through the Professional Development element teachers involved will gain plenty of ideas for using drama techniques and implementation of digital media and online tools in making and editing products. Through our planned activities our partnership will guarantee a more modern, dynamic, committed and professional environment inside our schools involving teachers who are ready to integrate good practices and new methods into daily teaching activities. All our participant schools are united around the idea of building bridges among our nations, promoting understanding of different cultures (both European and migrants') and interacting with peers from other countries. We strongly believe that in a world of globalisation we should teach adolescents how to value national cultural heritage. We think that working on projects on an international basis adds value to their concrete results and outcomes and provide participants with new chances to share and compare knowledge and skills with peers whom they are normally not able to communicate with. Our main objectives are:-Introduction of national cultural heritage through theatrical arts – involvement of adolescents in drama-based activities, development of their aesthetic taste-Effective integration of digital technologies in teaching through drama - introduction of eSafety and digital literacy, incorporation of meaningful messages in digital project products-Development of participants’ soft skills through use of theatre and ICT-Professional Development of staff – exchange of materials, support of young teachers, especially those unexperienced in international cooperation and project management. We will develop final products such as eBook “Cultural heritage through Erasmus + - Drama in the partner countries”, Professional Development Portfolio with a collection of drama techniques, DVDs with drama performances, calendars, collages and albums, trailers with meaningful messages on tolerance, multiculturality, etc. The partnership will benefit from each other schools' capacity and experience gained during themed Erasmus + KA1 in-service training courses on ICT and Drama, eTwinning seminar on eSafety at the Future Classroom Lab, Brussels, and relevant Erasmus + KA2 strategic partnerships, so as cooperation with the Royal Shakespeare Company on a previous LLP project. Our strategic partnerships will also involve associated partners from the public or private sector who will contribute to the sustainability of our cooperative project.
