"<< Background >>The background of the project was the pedagogical experience that although our secondary school students were born and raised in one of the member states of the European Union, they do not know this community in sufficient depth. However, for this European human and social community to develop, those living in it, especially young people, must feel at home and take an active part in the life of the Union. To become European, it is necessary to know the values, culture and traditions of the other nation. It is also necessary to have human relationships in a friendly living atmosphere.<< Objectives >>Disciplines in European context project provides a complex programme included practice-oriented and experience-based pedagogical elements. The fundamental aim of this project is to launch strategic partnership with the intention of raising awareness of and understanding the common EU values, their social, cultural and historical heritage along with five different disciplines: Literature, Art, Languages, History and Science. For the practical implementation of the project six countries Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Sweden will work in cooperation partnership and it is Hungary that undertakes the coordinating role.Disciplines are divided as follows: Hungary – Art, Norway – Science, Lithuania – Language, Poland – History Sweden –Literature.Portugal partner – Casa de Professor organizes trainings and workshops, provides suitable teaching trainings and summarise the project programmes for the catalogue. Realization of the program plays an important role in developing transversal, global and cultural competences for effective adaptation to economic, technological, and environmental changes. Implementation of the programs provides professional development for students and teachers. They contribute to the development of linguistic, social and personal competencies, to the enhancement of theEuropean identity, and provide participants with a ""glimpse"" of the world. It supports the renewal of the teaching methodology culture of teachers, the innovation of training content and methods of organizing training, and the building of international relations.<< Implementation >>The implementation of the project is framed by the opening and closing Transnational Project Meetings (TPM).Representatives of each of the project partner organization will participate in the 3-day TPMs enabling information and knowledge exchange between the partners and contributing to the overall developed outputs and ensuring the of good quality. The objective of the participation is also to contribute to the teachers who are part of the project receiving adequate, interesting and stimulating training in order to develop innovative and efficient pedagogical practices.Casa do Professor's support in this process will be based on the promotion and acquisition of pedagogical practices articulated in the contexts that each country will address, always bearing in mind an intergenerational perspective, reinforcing teachers' skills, through resources and the promotion of community learning networks among the teachers participating in the project. The effective sharing of knowledge, based on the cooperation between teachers from different countries participating in the project, must be duly ensured so that there is no deep and unbridgeable gap between the practices that teachers carry out and the themes that will be addressed during the development and duration of the project. We placed and embedded the Learning / Teaching / Training Activities (LTTA-s) between the TPM-s in the project. We have planned five LTTA-s each in a different partner country. The meetings are attended by all partner countries, schools with 2 teachers and 3 students, Casa do Professor with 2 people. The host school is responsible for compiling a five-day work program for participants from the partner schools. Each meeting will be attended by 22 students, experts, teachers from six partner countries. The delegates of the partner and partner schools are the students, professional /English language teachers, involved in the development. Participants get to know each other, the organizing institution introduces the school, the training structure. The activities, programs will be attended by students, teachers, experts from the partner countries.During the five-day LTTAs, selected disciplines are in focus. The main goals are to develop the key competences, to develop tolerance, knowledge of other cultures and learn about each other. To achieve improvement of practical and lexical skills, language abilities and social abilities. Students will be able to place better their own country in Europe.Activities related to LTTA are divided into three levels:-Activities of the Preparation-Activities of the Presentation-Common activities of the participantsFor preparation students and their team leader will have about one month, students will do several kinds of activities, they will take photos of their activities, crafts, objects and represent them at LTTA.Common activity of the participants: Experience-based, practice-oriented learning and teaching activities will be organized which give great opportunity to students to have art as a tool for expression. English language as communication tool plays important role during the preparation, presentation and implementation of the activities. On the closing day of the work program, the teachers / trainers summarize the experiences related to the development work and exchange the good practices to each other. They will discuss the tasks to be completed until the next meeting.<< Results >>Participating in the project is not only an added value for the student and teacher involved, but it also has a positive impact on all sending institutions, as the experiences gained during the mobility and the results of the program are integrated into the institutional operation, thereby increasing the quality of teaching and the effectiveness of it. The personality changes of the students collaborating in the project means one of the most important, long-term effect of the project as a result of which they will be become such citizens that will respect each other’s cultures, values, features and be able to act in favour of Europe's society. Output of the project is a Catalogue of the 5 disciplines with detailed introduction and description of the preparation process, implementation of the project work of the disciplines, impacts of the activities, good practices, applied teaching methods.Experts of Casa do Professor will document each LTTA and make a summary, report of them in a form of handbook.
