Continuing Vocational and Educational Training (CVET) is one of the major instruments to meet the challenges of the European 2020 strategy. The Bruges Communiqué invited the States Members to improve the training of CVET educators and trainers through flexible trainings to enable them to manage the educational and training tasks which are increasingly broad and complex. The market of continuing vocational and education training in Europe has changed dramatically in the last 20 years, resulting in: - a generalization of calls of tenders (public and private markets), - a quality requirement improvement, resulting in the need of certifications for trainers, - a requirement of productivity and rationalization of training, which causes trainers to apply training engineering which takes into account the achievements of learners, creates individualized training paths and adapts theirs courses to validate and certify. - a demand for a competency-based approach in training to improve the efficiency of the training for the learners. To meet these challenges and meet the European CVET market requirements, the skills of adult trainers and particularly the teaching and pedagogical skills are becoming critical and have a direct impact on the quality of training. From these findings, the project ESCoT helps to develop and establish a core of teaching skills for adult trainers, shared and enriched base at European level. It aims at improving the development of these skills by the use of flexible online just-in-time trainings. The project ESCoT provides tools and solutions in order to: - facilitate the assessment and management of pedagogical skills of trainers by themselves and by training organizations, - develop the pedagogical skills of trainers using appropriate training, focusing on situations that trainers face and providing innovative and efficient practices and knowledge shared at the European level, - develop the accessibility of this training of trainers by blended learning flexible method using online resources that can be provided to support the development of teaching skills. The project ESCoT provides to trainers and training organizations: - teaching skills assessment and management tools for trainers in relation to various situations they encounter, providing them teaching skills profile, - online training modules of trainer training that can be used to implement flexible blended training to accompany the development of teaching skills of trainers in different situations - a guide of good practices for the development of teaching skills, which capitalizes the experiences of various CVET organizations and networks in Europe.
"<< Background >>In most parts of Europe, education and training staff are increasingly working in a multilingual, intercultural and digital professional context. Similarly, when they undertake an exchange or mobility in Europe, they find themselves immersed in a situation of plurilingualism and interculturality. This confrontation is still often experienced as a problem rather than as an opportunity for openness and enrichment. The Interplusvalue Erasmus+ project takes this into account and brings together the need to manage situations of plurilingualism and interculturality with the learning needs of education, training or educational cooperation staff. It highlights the need for awareness and understanding and responds to it by enabling the appropriate approaches, appropriate learning and the encounter with the other, in person and at a distance via digital technology, from the local territory to the European level. It therefore provides skills that are contextualised to the situations experienced and a thoughtful opening to the world. The project responds to the need to open up to Europe, the need to understand cultural diversity and the need to meet other European educational actors and exchange on innovative and digital practices.<< Objectives >>Designed to be introduced as an Educational partnership project in response to the 2021 call for proposals in the Erasmus+ European programme. INTERPLUSVALUE ERASMUS+ is a program based on encounters, exchanges and shared reflective practice sessions in relation to situations of plurilingualism and interculturality in a European educational context. It is made up of a participatory training course, skills development and expertise which is naturally open to all educational and training staff (in primary and secondary schools, higher education, vocational training settings, associations and communities) who have direct contact and experience of these situations on a daily basis within their schools or organizations or in the context of cooperation or international mobility. The projects responds to 3 objectives :-To understand the cultural codes of learners and school educational partners in a teaching or training situation, cooperation, school exchange or european mobility-To Improve and develop pupils’ linguistic and cultural skills, so as to facilitate their integration and inclusion and strengthen learning capabilities helping them to build their identity and self esteem and thus preventing school, professional and social failure-To respond to intercultural and plurilingual situations faced by educational staff in schools, universities or organizations and during European exchanges or in mobility contexts<< Implementation >>During the project, the proposed activities will be both face-to-face and online.First, the leading preparatory training seminar in Brittany will launch the project. Representatives of each partner will be present, as well as participants from Brittany and abroad. The rest of the participants who cannot attend the seminar will be able to follow it at a distance. At the end of the seminar, the participants will choose their training curse. The different learning activities (local seminars for further training, conference cycles and other sessions) will take place face-to-face and at a distance and will constitute synchronous and asynchronous training modules. These activities will allow the acquisition of knowledge and skills from a dedicated website and the project's Twinspace, where the training modules will be put online.<< Results >>This project will enable educational leaders, training institutions and other stakeholders to have a renewed approach to interculturality and plurilingualism as assets and not as obstacles to learning. The training will enable participants to better experience intercultural situations and to value learners from other cultures. Learners with a command of other languages (""heritage languages"") will be valued and their knowledge will be put to good use. The choice of a long training course will ensure that the trained staff will have time to integrate and implement the methods and tools presented in a sustainable way.At the regional and European level, the project will allow for an international opening, a harmonisation of training between the cities of the different partner territories and will allow for a training policy throughout the European territory."
"The Canapalea project aims at professionalising stakeholders to use hemp in the building sector at European level. The market for sustainable construction and renovation is potentially significant in Europe. It is part of the EU 2020 strategy (energy, climate), of national policies and in accordance with future national regulations. Despite this development potential, professionals are not familiar enough with the hemp material and its implementation to meet local market opportunities. A major problem is the lack of skills training. Moreover these techniques are new and they require the professionals to enroll in a continuing education process and to exchange at European level. Considering these observations, the partnership had four objectives focusing on four targets :- Professionalising the social and traditional construction businesses in order to acquire deep knowledge and skills on the characteristics and technical implementation of hemp through modular training qualifications linked to existing certifications recognised European mobility, experiments in connection with the labs research, appropriate training pedagogy ;- Professionalising people on integration pathways on hemp techniques (future workforce in the construction business) through qualifying courses and European mobility ;- To help architects, construction economists, consultants, control offices understand the properties of hemp as a building material and its use through awareness/training ;- Reassure in an objective manner, demonstrate that it is possible to build or renovate with hemp for public clients via awareness-raising / training and the publication of a guide highlighting exemplary communities new or rehabilitation projects in France, Spain, Italy and Belgium. Round the table to achieve these goals, 2 ""social structures"" recognised in the field of training and eco-construction - Etudes et Chantiers Bretagne - Pays de Loire in France and in Belgium Le Trusquin. A Belgian federation of stakeholders in the social economy - ACFI, a national association of bio-ecological architects in Italy - ANAB, the Baubiology Instituto Español in Spain implementing an Eco-Construction Master degree and Doctum, a Spanish Association, a stakeholder in built heritage renovation and training. During three years the partnership : - Developed a skills training module for building companies and train the trainers courses, and a skills training module for people on integration pathways by developing:* training tools with a pedagogy that suits the targets : activities, skills, training and learning outcome assessment frameworks that include current implementation techniques and the results of ongoing research* a prerequisite assessment tool* a pedagogical support presenting the hemp for building purposes* a train the trainers’ module and organised a training session- Organised European mobilities- Indexed hemp building products for architects and other prescribers to foster the use of hemp products- Created an educational booklet to raise potential public and private clients’ awareness- Organised events to disseminate the project results to the targets Thanks to the project :- Training centers have tools to implement training courses ;- Building companies can have skilled labour ;- Social structures have trainers and technical supervisors who are able to coordinate a team to serve local hemp building markets in partnership with building companies ;- People on integration pathways can gain competences and knowledge more easily thanks to an appropriate training pedagogy ;- Prescribers have confidence in hemp and its implementation ;- Public and private clients also have more confidence in this material ;- Public communities are more aware of the potential benefits of the development of the hemp sector for a territory."
