Motivation of partners in this project is to “equip” young women with set of skills needed to work on personal development in fields of learning, creating self-employment opportunities and sharing valuable skills among peers. In our communities/countries of the partners in this project, the stereotypes remain that the entrepreneurship is perceived as a masculine activity in masculine sectors. Our project tends to go beyond those stereotypes and discriminations in our communities and offer quality support for young women to start their enterprises. It is rather innovative in our communities, although at the level of the EU there are quite a few support mechanisms for female entrepreneurship. In our communities, unfortunately, there are no entrepreneurship empowerment centres for young women.Overall project’s objectives:- Encourage active citizenship and develop sense of entrepreneurship of unemployed young women- Raise capacity of partner organisations and their youth workers for establishment empowerment centres and implementation of quality non-formal education and entrepreneurial learning activities for young women in our communities- Develop young women entrepreneurship empowerment centres and activities in our organisations and communities and thus to organise capacity building of young women in our communities- Evaluate the impact of the education/capacity building of our youth workers and the impact of the empowerment centres for capacity building of young women for entrepreneurshipProject's activities are:- Preparation activities- Training course (Activity 1): „Young Women Entrepreneurship Empowerment Centres“ (9 days long; Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina)- Homework – Establishing young women entrepreneurship empowerment centres & activities- Evaluation meeting (Activity 2): „Impact of entrepreneurial learning of young women in our empowerment centres“ (7 daus long; Zadar, Croatia)- Evaluation and dissemination activitiesProject gathers at least 31 participants, trainers and staff from 9 organisations/countries (BA, HR, RS, Al, MK, IT, SL, SI, ME). There will be at least 16 participants with fewer opportunities.Local communities of the partner organisations in this project will benefit thanks to establishment of the young women entrepreneurship empowerment centres and education workshops and programmes that will be regularly held there. We expect at least 9 empowerment centres of our 9 partners, with at least 10 different workshops / NFE activities (developed by our participants during the project activities) that contribute to raising competences and capacities of young women for entrepreneurship. We expect increase in number of young women that will get closer to getting a job through self-employment and establishing own enterprises thanks to their increased entrepreneurship skills through increased quality of non-formal education activities in communities, as long-term perspective of multiplying and sustainable impact.
In whole Europe and countries involved in this project there are serious issues with intercultural dialogue and acceptance of diversity due to migrations towards the EU.Education, training and youth work/policies have a key role to play in fostering social inclusion, mutual understanding and respect among young people and communities. Quite often, both salaries of the employed citizens, as well as the pensions for the retired seniors, where exist - are not fully sufficient for the high costs of life in those “older” ages when their youngsters have left households to pursue own career and life in separate households of their own. More and more seniors and adults (with fewer opportunities), thus, are looking forward to another way of regular money incoming into their households and are positive towards entrepreneurship opportunities, as they see self-employment as a valuable and appreciated option.Seniors and adults with fewer opportunities are beneficiaries of our activities and their needs are directly influencing our needs, needs of partner organisations. Thus, after doing a short survey among beneficiaries, all partners agreed that they need to improve their adult education NFE activities with quality Entrepreneurial Learning (EL) in line with the new era entrepreneurship concepts, in order to provide quality, attractive and effective activities for personal and professional development of seniors and adults with fewer opportunities in their communities. Motivation of partners in this project is to “equip” seniors and adults with fewer opportunities with set of skills needed to work on personal development in fields of entrepreneurial intelligence and creating (self-)employment opportunities proactively in today’s reality of employment uncertainty and the world of extinction of many known jobs and occupation now and even more in the future. That new needed capacity is entrepreneurial intelligence - competence that can be trained and developed by gaining different skills, knowledge, attitudes through quality adult non-formal education. This project builds up on our previous experience with the aspect of entrepreneurial intelligence, mind-set and creativity competences, as a new level of adult learning for self-employment and entrepreneurship.Project objectives:•Empower seniors and adults with fewer opportunities in entrepreneurial intelligence and mind-set development (including intrapersonal and interpersonal social-emotional and creativity competences), through development of inspiring, innovative and up-to-date handbook and e-learning courses.•Empower our adult educators and improve knowledge management of adult education institutions and organisations in theory and practice for building competences of adult educators in entrepreneurial mind-set and creativity in entrepreneurship development of citizens, through training course, innovative Guidebook with curriculum and e-learning course for adult educators’ training.•Exchange good practices and further develop quality strategic partnership among partners from 5 European countries with different realities in regards to citizens’ self-employment and entrepreneurship. We expect following direct participants / beneficiaries of our project: -12 staff / project managers and assistants; -18 teachers/trainers/researchers and technicians working on the intellectual outputs; -30 multipliers adult educators that will test the outputs with at least 120 citizens (with fewer opportunities) on local level-12 adult educators, participants at the LTTA, multipliers to additional 40 adult education providers empowered and encouraged to use our intellectual outputs in their work;-205 participants of the multiplier events.Project activities:A1 Project ManagementM1 Kick-off meetingO1 Handbook on Entrepreneurial learning, Intelligence and mind-set development for adultsM2 Second meetingO2 Guidebook with Curriculum: Empowering adult educators for Entrepreneurial learning, Intelligence and mind-set development among seniors and adults with fewer opportunitiesM3 Third meetingO3 E-learning course for educators: Entrepreneurial learning, Intelligence and mind-set development education for seniors and adults with fewer opportunitiesO4 E-learning course for beneficiaries: IntRApersonal aspect of Entrepreneurial mind-set developmentO5 E-learning course for beneficiaries: Leadership, Teamwork and other intERpersonal skills within Entrepreneurial mind-set developmentC1 LTTA Training of trainers E1, E2, E3, E4, E5 – Open conferences in RS, HR, SE, DE, NLM4 – Evaluation meetingProject will directly impact organisational capacities to work on providing quality entrepreneurship education to mainly seniors and adults with fewer opportunities. All our organisations base their work for inclusion and acceptance of diversity on projects and related project based funding. In most cases those projects cannot cover regular costs of organisational staff, facilities and utilities; and all the potential team building activities for / with our volunteers and staff. Also, if we do not get funding for specific project related to the real needs in our community, we do not have resources to organise activities in that direction. Nowadays, there is a huge competition between civil society organisations for funding on tenders organised and quite often it happens that even if the project is well developed and written and there are real urgent needs for such project in community, still projects do not get funding as there are just not enough financial resources available. With this project, we have tried to respond to these needs of our partner organisations (and other interested civil society organisations) through capacity building of theirs by exploring other sources of funding and empowering and encouraging our youth workers for taking actions and enriching their sources of funding for their work with marginalised groups and better impact on inclusion and acceptance of diversity in society. There are two core activities in the project:1. Mobility activity – Training course. It was held in Serbia in October 2017. It gathered 31 participant, trainers and staff from 11 organisations and countries (RS, BE, XK, HR, BA, GR, AL, ME, MK, SI, IT). 2. Capacity building activity – publication. It will give constructive and practical advices and recommendation on what youth organisations and their youth workers need to do when it comes to different fundraising efforts. There are also more preparation, evaluation and dissemination activities. Objectives of the project are:• Motivate and empower youth workers for active promotion of combating social exclusion in their activities • Empower youth workers in fundraising and grant application writing for working with marginalised groups • Allow for exchange of practices among youth workers from different countries/communities on various aspects and perceptions of marginalisation and inclusion, different insights and perceptions about youth work with marginalised groups and values in those work• Empower youth workers in understanding and using Erasmus+ and other EU Programmes for their youth work for inclusion• Build capacity and increase knowledge management of youth organisations quality, consistent and effective fundraising from various sources of funding available and through different offline and online tools • Develop more projects and activities for inclusion, on local level and within the Erasmus+ and other EU programmesWith this project, we contribute to developing the quality of capabilities of partner organisations in youth field in general, and to the development of youth workers – multipliers in specific.
We live in society where interethnic and other differences among people cause prejudice, hatred, fear and exclusion in everyday life. As all of the partners promote inclusion and intercultural acceptance in society, we are all concerned with the situation in our communities nowadays, with increase of the discrimination and intolerance. We believe that European level cooperation and youth sport work projects can contribute to improving the situation with acceptance of diversity among all parts of society, and especially youth. Sport actively shows young people that learning, trying new things, encountering new people, and stepping into new situations can be fun rather than a threat.Unfortunately, when trying to organise education of our youth workers in youth sport work before this project, the partners could not have found enough youth trainers experienced in the topic and principles of using sport activities as methods in NFE/youth work. That is why we have decided to develop and implement this project.Project aimed at: Building capacity of youth (work) organisations, their youth trainers and youth workers in NFE for youth SPORT work for intercultural dialogue and accepting diversity among youngsters in our communities and encouraging usage of sport and outdoor activities in youth work for acceptance of diversity.Project consisted of following activities:1. Online Skype preparation meeting in August 2018 (and regular Skype meetings throughout the project)2. Activity 1: Preparatory meeting, September 2018 in Serbia3. Activity 2 (Mobility activity): Training of trainers “Youth sport work for intercultural learning and acceptance of diversity”, with 25 participants (12 with fewer opp.) from RS, HR, MK, BA and IT; 16th till 25th November 2018, in Croatia4. Output 1: Guidebook with Curriculum; November/December 20185. Output 2: Booklet of youth sport work activities / games for ICL and acceptance of diversity; December 2018/January 20196. Activity 3: Local/National dissemination conference/workshops for youth workers and other stakeholders, March/April 20197. Activity 4 (Mobility activity): Evaluation meeting, with 20 participants (11 with fewer opp.) from RS, HR, MK, BA and IT; 22-27 April 2019 in Serbia8. Dissemination and reporting activitiesProject contributed to capacity building and knowledge management of partner organisations, and we hope that it will be useful also to other youth (work) organisations and respective youth workers and trainers. Project results contribute to developing sense of tolerance and understanding of diversity, not only among participants, but also among further beneficiaries of different youth sport work activities (with mainstream and marginalised groups) that will be lead and managed by participants of this project activities.
