Climate change is the greatest threat we all face today. Whether it is rising sea levels, extreme weather events, global temperature rise, shrinking ice sheets, the world altogether collectively must act now to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, at this moment of speaking, along with the enormous threat of global warming, we have encountered a pandemic in the name of COVID-19. But one certain advantage emerging from the current global circumstances is that human beings are being tested on their collective understanding of how we are all connected on a global scale. The 'Collective Innovation to Fight Climate Change' project's vision is to support the successor of the European Cooperation in Education and Training (ET2020) for more ambitious benchmarks for adult education and for more social and sustainable future, where adult education can play a central role in achieving the UN SDGs and combating climate change. Hence, the goal of this project is to fight climate change through collective innovation and efforts and more specifically with all our objectives through the prism of educators, entrepreneurs, SMEs, employees, and/ or individuals altogether. The specific objectives of the project are:1. Educate educators on the topic of climate change and the UN SDGs and equip them with interactive training instruments to embed within their trainings --> via the Intellectual Output - Climate Change & Sustainable You Handbook (CU Handbook)2. Upskill entrepreneurs and SMEs owners/ managers on how to use the innovation management process in developing their sustainability strategies to contribute to the fight against climate change --> via the Intellectual Output - Innovating for Climate Change & Sustainability Toolkit (IC Sustainability Toolkit)3. Guide entrepreneurs and SMEs owners/ managers on becoming agents of change for their colleagues/ employees and transforming their business culture and values to eco ones --> via the Intellectual Output - Culture of Change. Climate Change Manual. (C Change Manual)4. Provide a user-friendly digital platform to educators, entrepreneurs, SMEs and individuals to measure their carbon footprint and provide valuable tips on how to help reduce the negative impact on the environment and support the fight against climate change --> via the Intellectual Output - Fight Climate Change Platform (Change Platform)In addition to the intellectual outputs that the project partners will produce, the project will organise two trainings complementary to the first three outputs and an international conference which will take place in London, UK. The project consortium consists of 7 partners from 5 countries (UK, Belgium, Spain, Greece and Bulgaria) - EPN Consulting; Worldview Impact Foundation; Creative District; International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation; IDEC; Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development and Knowledge, Innovation and Strategies Management Club. The partnership is made up of training organisations, NGOs, consultancies, associations - all supporting the target groups in this project: educators (consultants, trainers, coaches, mentors, etc.), entrepreneurs, SMEs.Although our consortium cannot fight climate change single-handedly, the current project creates a foundation for the partners to start a collective cooperation on the topic of climate change, leading to introducing collective innovation and tools to support the target groups, resulting in educating adults and raising awareness of how we all contribute to the negative impact on the environment, and how we all can minimize it to a certain extent. The innovative element in the project could be defined by the collective innovation approach envisaged, implemented through the intellectual outputs. Collective innovation is a connected, open and collaborative process that generates, develops, prioritizes and executes new ideas. Even though climate change is not a new topic, there’s vast information available for ‘consumption’, our project focuses on specific tools to support first - the partners in the project to embed climate change as part of their values and culture (and joint collaboration throughout long period of time is a good way to have a strong and stable way to approach this), transferring the elaborated materials to educators to be able to deliver this to their target groups, leading to exhaustive support to entrepreneurs and SMEs to design their own climate change and sustainability strategies, and second - introduce eco culture within their enterprises for their colleagues and employees, contributing to more knowledge about climate change within all those groups, who will be more alert on this subject as individuals. Thus, along the chain and collectively through the collective innovation of all, we can achieve widespread collection of human knowledge.

"The economic changes, technologies, globalization and society development have a big impact on the labour market. Nowadays the “job for life” does not exist anymore as it was 50 years ago. In turn it influences on the youth unemployment. At this stage entrepreneurship and in particular social entrepreneurship can become an effective way to confront the problem. It is how young people can get needed experience, become responsible and create their own jobs. NGOs can help young people to develop employability skills and involve them into entrepreneurship. At the same time NGOs also can benefit a lot from learning social entrepreneurship as they also face different problems regarding sustainability. But there are not many NGOs which are competent in this topic. The project ""360 Degrees Entrepreneurship"" aims to develop youth workers skills on entrepreneurship and in particular social entrepreneurship, creativity, financial management, strategic planning, employability and entrepreneurial skills in order to overcome the youth unemployment and to make NGOs sustainable. They will have the opportunity to not only learn these skills, but also to implement them in starting up their business, collaborate with other startups and be mentored through the business incubator model. The main objectives of the project are: 1) To develop creative thinking, innovation, employability (soft) skills, financial management, strategic planning and entrepreneurial skills of youth workers. 2) To share knowledge on the establishment and sustainability of business incubators as a sustainable measure of supporting entrepreneurship on a long term basis. 2) To create a training module on how to develop, validate and implement social entrepreneurial projects and enterprises. 3) To work with and train mentors in how they can support young people in developing entrepreneurial paths. 4) To explore practical ways of supporting young people and NGO set up social enterprises, taking into consideration legal, financial, management and social requirements.5) To create new tools and methods designed to develop entrepreneurial skills among young people. 6) To provide young people with a platform where they can exchange experience and expertise in the field of social entrepreneurship. 7) To develop solidarity, promote tolerance and foster mutual understanding between generations and cultures by creating a common platform for development that includes a wide variety of generations and cultures 360 Degrees Entrepreneurship was implemented with 9 partners including Science Park, companies, university, NGOs from Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Estonia, Italy and Turkey. The final result of the project are established business incubator, fully set up to support new businesses from idea to reality in main campus of university. The project was consist of 3 main parts. 1. Trainings and meetings which focus on discussing and developing the theoretical side of social entrepreneurship. This aimed to allow participants to start their businesses, upgrade their current business or develop their personal capacity rather work a youth trainer or promoted in job market. 2. Implementation of the businesses, setting up the business incubator, implementing training for trainers and creating training modules. We have produced manuals on how to establish a business incubator, a manual dedicated to show different approaches and good practices on entrepreneurship education and learning. 3. Gathering the results of the project, showcasing the different developing businesses, sharing best practices and making the business incubator sustainable. We created different part of visual materials such as website, brochures, notebook, pens, roll - up etc. We as well organized two meetings ( one in Spain and one In Turkey) to share the results and build new partnerships. In long term benefit; project produced educational materials that will allow different actors to use. As well as the business incubator inside university will allow to start and develop new start -ups. Moreover, project had strong partnership and now new collaborations are already planned among partners. Impact on participants of project was also very strong which has long term benefit. Several participants started new business, several of them are now active youth trainers in the field. Last but not least, after all programs one participants was selected to become a pilot in Turkish Airlines thanks to all skills and competencies she developed, gained during the program."

The SpaceUp project aims at giving Europe's innovative start-ups in the space sector every opportunity to become world-leading companies. SpaceUp promotes technology transfer, networking, outreach and matchmaking with business angels, crowd funders, investors, human resource specialists and CEOs from corporates, culminating in six European SPACE ACADEMIES. Exposure to strategic corporate investors is being increased by engaging actively with relevant high tech industries like automotive, robotics. SpaceUp experts offer advice on how to best profit from the opportunities represented by European Public Funds (H2020/SME Instrument, EIB and EIF) and by the European Space Agency. Promising tech start-ups are being guided through already existing services offered like ESA-BICs, EEN, space-related clusters and NCPs. SpaceUp builds on activities carried out by ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) and ESA BICs, and fosters the uptake of space data and services by non-space industrial and service players for further commercial applications. SpaceUp reinforces the spin-out efforts of ESA through cross-fertilization by enhancing connection and networking with non-space technology experts, e.g. in maritime, logistics, land-use and security sectors. It also fosters spin-in activities from these into the space sector. Up to 360 start-ups in total can attend the six SPACE ACADEMIES taking place across Europe incl. the widening countries. Of these the most advanced 60 start-ups, applying for the SpaceUp coaching services, selected on the basis of the most viable cases (business, products and/or services) by the SpaceUp evaluation committee, are being invited not only to attend the SPACE ACADEMIES. They also get access to all partners’ services and to customized one-to-one coaching within areas of expertise they need to reach their next commercial stage (up to 10 per academy). Finally, recommendations on best practice and lessons learnt will be established for start-ups, SMEs and existing BICs and the sustainability of offering future European SPACE ACADEMIES will be explored.

This CSA intends to establish and deploy the Centre for Europe-Brazil Business Innovation Cooperation (CEBRABIC). The Centre will connect and support European Research & Innovation & Business (R&I&B) organizations in the Brazilian market, while strengthening the European Union’s position as a world leader in Science, Technology and Innovation. The Centre will achieve these goals by sustainably offering a diverse set of services, including networking and partnering; business consultancy; pooling and sharing resources; investment attraction; capacity building and awareness raising. The proposed methodology for setting up CEBRABIC relies upon a pillar-based approach – each corresponding to different chapters of a Business Plan: Strategic pillar (market analysis – Work Package (WP) 1 and strategic planning (WP2)); Marketing pillar (WP3); Operational pillar (WP4); and Financial pillar (WP5). The business model implementation (WP6) and the monitoring and evaluation (WP7) are also further pillars in the CEBRABIC methodological approach. The implementation of CEBRABIC will follow a three-staged strategy: the planning stage (from M1 to M12), in which the Centre’s business model (WP1-WP5) will be developed; the piloting stage (M12 to M24), focused on delivering services on an experimental basis (WP6); and the full implementation stage (M24-M48), in which CEBRABIC will be established as an independent legal entity and as a financially self-sustainable organization. As an open and dynamic Centre, CEBRABIC will build upon synergies and complementarities with relevant R&I&B organizations, particularly with European R&I&B organizations with presence in Brazil and SENAI Innovation Institutes, aiming to increase, diversify and consolidate the CEBRABIC service demand and offer. The project is implemented by a partnership of 12 organizations, led by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, and including leading R&I&B organizations from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Hungary and Turkey.

INCOBRA – Increasing Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) International Cooperation between Brazil (BR) and the European Union (EU) – is a 36-month Coordination and Support Action aiming to increase, enhance and focus Research and Innovation (R&I) cooperation between BR and EU. INCOBRA is expected to contribute to (i) Increased cooperation patterns – by supporting cooperation networks among BR and EU R&I actors (Work Package –WP2), (ii) Enhanced framework conditions – by fostering coordination and alignment of R&I funding in BR and EU (WP3), (iii) More focused BR-EU R&I cooperation – by identifying emerging topics and opportunities in priority R&I areas for cooperation (WP1). Capacity building, sustainability will also be fully addressed by INCOBRA (WP4 and WP5, respectively). INCOBRA’s approach is completely aligned with the EU Strategy for International R&I Cooperation, the EU Roadmap for R&I Cooperation with BR, the BR-EU Policy Dialogue priorities and with the work of the Strategic Forum for International STI Cooperation (SFIC). It thus draws upon a multilateral perspective (interests and needs of BR-state level, BR-federal level, EU and EU-Member States), whilst capitalizing and going beyond the outcomes of the previous R&I cooperation project with Brazil (B.BICE+). INCOBRA’s approach also assumes innovation (holistic concept) as a key driver for BR-EU STI cooperation and Strategic Foresight as a relevant tool to anticipate R&I trends of mutual interest for BR and EU R&I actors, while promoting mutual openness of BR and EU R&I funding programmes to encourage cooperation. The INCOBRA consortium comprises 13 partners (7 from EU and 6 from BR), including Universities, Research Organizations, International Organizations, Technology Parks, Private Companies and Funding Agencies. Building upon a stakeholder-driven basis, INCOBRA already incorporates 36 organizations as members of the Stakeholder Group to be deployed during the project.
