The last 6 years The non Profit organisation Cameltown have been involved in Artivism projects around the world. After having organised various photo-expositions in gallery’s it was time to leave those white spaces and to retake the streets. We brought High Quality Photography art to the streets for free in a walking parade form. In every city the parade was directed by it’s inhabitants to create a mirror reflecting the era of time. Moving Europe resulted in a cross national inter-generational spark of creativity reaching thousands of people around Europe. Moving Europe was a Collaboration between 7partners from Amsterdam, Berlin, Riga, Reykjavik, Athens and Lisbon to organise walking photo-expositions around Europe. Our parades were triggers to bring people together which resulted in collaborating with various Nursery-homes, Photography & Pole dance classes, Theaters, cinemas, cultural places, bars, festivals & all kind of collectives and random people we’ve met on the street. This explosion of social interaction resulted in the photo-exposition and short film “ there is something about parades”. http://www.cameltown.org/paradesAs we were the first walking photo-exposition from this scale happening in Europe, all participating organisation gained more visibility and sparked the mindshift towards more future intergenerational cross-national projects. Our project was based on a very simple idea. We brought high quality art for free to the public space collaborating with diverse groups from the local community. We hope that our expo and photo-exposition will ignite more initiatives like these and the Moving Europe network will be there to support upcoming initiatives in Europe and Beyond.
"Noticing that many European Union countries face problems of youth unemployment, overload of qualified young professionals, the brain drain and the lack of youth involvement in innovative product development, we decided to create a Youth Innovation Center -like operating model - the methodology that could be universally applied to all youth-center-based existing institutions in order to face and solve these problems. The project will create a comfrtable platform for young people to develop their skills and competencies. Youth innovation center will work by the methodology, which will be based on support and mentoring of qualified youth workers and the synergy created by the partnership network of other institutions. "Climate change is alarming and no longer underestimated: nearly 75% of EU citizens now see climate change as a very serious problem, shows Eurobarometer 2019. At the tail of the problem recognition, the impact of Greta’s movement cannot be underestimated – while the students are already on the streets at “Fridays for future” – we believe it is time for the youth work sector to step together in the race for the Sustainable Green Planet and invest into insetting responsible and sustainable living mindset into non-formal education sector. Being anchor in implementing Union’s Youth policies and having the opportunity to reach young people directly through Erasmus+, youth work must adapt itself to respond loudly to the global challenges in order to be the example young people can refer to.At the same time, taking into account rapidly changing world, teaching sustainable living becomes indivisible from digitalization: (4)EVERGREEN will bridge 2 programme objectives– to support awareness raising on the environmental and climate goals and taking up innovative practices in a digital era. The project main aim thereafter is to contribute to the just and inclusive transition to sustainable living throughout empowering youth work sector across the globe to raise awareness on environmental issues by personal example and digital tools. The specific objectives are:1. To build capacity of consortium and foster networking and cooperation of the youth work sector on global level in terms of environmental-responsible and sustainable living education;2.
